      Kyle, I love your work so much and am a big admirer. Hopefully one day I'll be able to play even a fraction like you. I just wandered if you had ever thought about playing my favourite disney song which is also from Pocahontas: "If I never knew you". It's a beautiful song. Hopefully I'll be able to see you making music for years to come.

    Those arpeggios at 1:23, 2:43, 3:17 are hands down the cleanest arpeggios I've ever seen. Even when I watch professional pianists try to play arpeggios that fast they can't seem to make them as smooth and consistent as Kyle does. Look at his fingers when he does them! They're just effortlessly rolling across the keys while still creating the most perfectly consistent sounds! Unbelievable. Kyle kudos to you my friend.

    How do you arrange something like this from basic sheet music Kyle? Is it all music theory or does it just come to you naturally? I've tried arranging stuff but all I wind up doing is repeating arpeggios in the left hand and then playing the melody in the right with not much variation.

    • @hcpiano
      @hcpiano 6 лет назад +2

      I would guess that music theory combined with lots of experience is the key thing when it comes to advanced arrangements like this. Sometimes it just fits to play the melody with sixth or third intervals and sometimes it just fits depending on how the chords progress to play extra notes in the bass to bind the chords. I might be talking some rubish here since my music theory isnt my strong side, and you have probably learned a lot since you posted that question

    • @jegcelorio
      @jegcelorio 8 лет назад +22

      NAh, don't worry. You just need an excellent understanding of how piano chords work, and a trick or two about how to work the bass with your left hand. Every decent piano teacher will help you with this. Kyle really knows his chords, that's why his songs sound amazing. However, there's no "myth" or "secret science" about what he's doing, nor a "born talent". EVERYONE regardless of age can do it with a lot of practice and dedication. Hope this message motivates people watching this. Remember: learn your chords and arpeggios.

    • @TheGreatUtopiaCat
      @TheGreatUtopiaCat 8 лет назад +4

      you are correct, but there is such thing as a talent or a natural aspiration, some people have in addition to those technical skills an intuitive understanding of how musical flow works. Some people also just have a really good ear for pitch and others simply do not. To develop a good ear outside of the formative years is difficult from what I see.

      at first that statement reads pretty weird, but now I think I get it and agree. I mean I'd like to think that most everyone is good at something, and I really believe that, but not everyone is good at everything. Can everyone be good at everything with practice? I think yeah, but some people will require more practice than others and still not be as good.

    Меня ты считаешь дикаркой,
    Столько видел ты на свете, что судишь обо всем,
    Пускай, мы дикари,
    Но ведь что ни говори,
    Не видишь ты, что мир вокруг - твой дом!
    Он - твой дом...
    Ты думаешь, что ты везде хозяин,
    Земля твоя и тем лишь хороша,
    А нам друзья и камни, и деревья,
    Есть у них имя, сердце и душа...
    Ты равными себе считаешь только
    Тех, кто мыслит и выглядит, как ты,
    Но вдруг ты след увидишь незнакомца
    И откроешь в нем нежданные черты.
    А слыхал ли ты, как песни волк поет Луне?
    Пытался ли язык зверей понять?
    И сумеешь ли волшебные картинки
    На лету цветами ветра рисовать?
    Источник teksty-pesenok.ru
    На лету цветами ветра рисовать...
    Захочет лес тебе дарить прохладу
    И соком сладких ягод напоить?
    Но цену им прикидывать не надо,
    Это все вам за деньги не купить.
    Все ливни и ручьи - мои родные,
    Все птицы и зверьки - мои друзья,
    Крепятся наши связи вековые,
    Эти нити разорвать никак нельзя.
    Тот, кто юный тополь срубит,
    Не увидит тень от его листвы,
    Не услышит он как песни волк поет Луне,
    Не сможет он язык зверей понять.
    И не сумеет он волшебные картинки
    На лету цветами ветра рисовать.
    И к чему землей владеть,
    Коль при этом не уметь
    На лету цветами ветра рисовать...

    Hi Kyle Landry,
    I heard this arrangement (a year ago) along with the Zelda medley and other anime and video game soundtrack arrangements and was inspired by your talent! I am quite the nerd which is why I enjoy listening to your video game soundtrack arrangements. At the time I was only a grade 4 and was very unexperienced pianist but because you inspired me so much I took it upon myself to learn this piece. It took a while but I am so happy that I learnt it as I have become a lot more skilled and just did my grade 5 (theory holding me back). I performed it twice. Once last year and once recently along with my other grade pieces. On the recent concert the sound quality is terrible. However it would mean the world to me if you took the time to look at the performances on my piano and tell me what you think as I strive to become a better Pianist like you.
    Many thanks for the Wake up call and inspiration,
    PrincessofRPGs

    A song is just a song, until you make it your own. Music is what you make it to be, and you just turned it into a beautiful masterpiece...I got goosebumps and chills down my back. Thanks for sharing your passion and emotion through your playing!!

      If you keep that idea in your mind you'll always say so when you can't play something and you'll never progress. Playing the piano is not only about your fingers length, you can also move your wrists very quickly and adapt the fingering. Search for videos of Michel Petrucciani. I wish you the best in your life my friend.

    This is one of my favorite song and movie from Disney (just behind The Lion King).
    And let me tell you that your version of it brought me in tears.
    This is mind blowing and heart warming at the same time.
    Thank you so much for making me feel so much emotions.
    Keep it going with your arrangements. I bought my copy of it and wish that I could be playing it as good as you someday.
    Thank you again.

    Hey Kyle, I've been working on hasty arpeggios for a while and I was just wondering if you might have any incite on possible techniques to better myself in that area? I am of course fully aware of the simple factor that just time/practice could answer anything
    >.< but are there sheets/ warm ups that might help?
    Let me know
    thanks

    JW why doesn't Kyle get an actual piano instead of just playing keyboards?

    • @PJEffect
      @PJEffect 10 лет назад +2

      money and space

    • @FirefulXD
      @FirefulXD 10 лет назад

      I'm sure he can afford at least an upright piano with all his youtube views XD and I may be wrong but he seems like he has multiple keyboards, which when put together should take up more space than an actual piano

    • @PJEffect
      @PJEffect 10 лет назад +4

      FirefulXD RUclips doesn't pay as much as most people seem to think it does, and maybe he just prefers keyboards, they are easier to get high quality recordings from

    • @FirefulXD
      @FirefulXD 10 лет назад

      didn't know about the high quality recordings part

    • @PJEffect
      @PJEffect 10 лет назад +3

      FirefulXD Talking from experience you can record sound from a keyboard directly into a computer, to record it from a piano you need several microphones, an audio interface and mixing skills, it's more expensive and time consuming to do it that way but it does give a (slightly) better sound
