This tune is one of Alan Menken's better recent Disney compositions in my opinion. That being said, this was also probably one of the best animated Disney films in a while. 'I See The Light' was also very fun to arrange! Please let me know what you think of this, and as always, please enjoy!

+Mogii Sama Heh, they probably don't want him - and that's not to sound condescending to Kyle, his arrangement and piano skills they really are amazing - but Disney has acted quite strangely toward Kyle AFAIK...
For example, arrangements and that have been made into sheets and been put on his website have been removed due to copyright claims from Disney. Now, ofc his arrangements use the melodies and follow them closely and expand on them, so the copyright claims are valid, but wouldn't it be a wise business choice to hire him? That's what I gather from it all at least...

Six moths after Tangled premiered in theaters I wrote my own version of this tune. I haven't touched a piano since then and have forgotten everything about playing it, not to mention notes, but when I rewatch this video it makes me so nostalgic about those times. Makes me wanna play again.

For people contemplating of attempting. It's not that hard if you really endeavour to play. I have a grade 5 certificate in piano and I can play all the way through though it took me several months. The hurdles faced, though formidable, are superable. Keep up!
Probably my three-year-old daughter's favorite currently. Like a lot of disney songs, it's a well written and is actually a good song. Great arrangement and great playing!

I know this is an old post but I came back to comment that we used this sheet music for our wedding! I walked down the aisle to this arrangement, the only little Disney touch in an otherwise formal event. It's still my favorite part of the day! Thank you for sharing your talent. Can't really explain why, but the piano solo sounds better than the actual song sung with lyrics. The melody just sounds more...soothing.

i hate how there are so many songs i cant play because my fingers are too short. i cant reach most of the damn notes at the same time

There's a girl the size of an eight year old with only three fingers on each hand, and she plays the most advanced piano pieces in existence. If she can do it, y'all can do it ;)
You can stretch your Fingers! Try to Play an octave on the piano. But do it in Front of the tiles dont bring your Hand over the tiles! Then push your Handy against the tiles. Do it so long, untill theres no air between your Fingers and the tiles.
That helped me a lot, as I was younger. And so I was able to play pieces from Chopin and so on with 7 years...
I have the same problem its drive me crazy. but try to use the pedal when you feel you cant reach the notes or brake down the cords.
The final song I played for my piano class before I graduated this year was this song and in no way it compares to the raw beauty that you made here but it still matches in some ways that make my heart twang in remembrance. So once again you've done an amazing job Kyle and thank you for being such and inspiration to my life.

It's been many months since I watched Tangled and I can't really remember the music from it very well but you seem to have mastered this piece nicely.
By the way I recently bought your sheets for your composition called "the separation" which is one of my all time favourite pieces and I can't wait to learn it.
The thing I like the most in Kyle's playing is that he doesn't completely respect note for note the original song. He gets the melody, but adds so much more than your usual youtube player.

As an aspiring musician myself, I totally understand how easy it is to feel diminished (HA! pun!) by incredible performers like Kyle! But I also firmly believe that music should be inspired, not dictated, by others' talent. Great music requires nothing but pure passion!

I learn by ear and I listened to this for like 3 day before I got the notes and it took me a week to be as perfect as him, learning piano is not that hard.....at least for me
Sylve I was somewhat the same. It was one of those situations when I wanted to play piano but my parents would encourage me as well and I would get bored. Then I moved towns and stopped learning piano as we didn't find a new teacher. I got back into it two years later when I went into music class at school and now I self teach everything. 😃
