I went solo on my last two cruises and had a wonderful time meeting people. Well now I have to give that up because I met somebody and we will be going on radiance in 21 days and Hawaii next year
Ive been on many solo cruises and its always been better than with a group. I suppose it depends on your personality but I've noticed that more people approached me being solo than with other people. Obviously less intimidating to strike up a conversation with one person than multiple people. Also, found myself being more active on the cruise, going out and mingling than I would with another person. With another person it's easy to just do your thing with them but alone you tend to put yourself out there more. Again, thats me personally. I can see some people might not be comfortable enough to put themselves out there and will stick to themselves the whole time which might be ideal for some but not others. If you're hesitant on solo cruising my suggestion is try it. Worst case scenario you'll be sticking to yourself but in a beautiful place with plenty of opportunity. You may surprise yourself. Likely, you'll have a great experience. Whats better than being in that situation with nobody to compromise with but yourself as far as what you're going to do or not do?
Yes to all of this and also I love not having to do things I don’t want to because the group all wants to. I don’t have to be on other people’s time because I can’t stand when people aren’t adhering to a schedule we all agreed on. Just easier, but there’s pros and cons to both.
