This was the Cowboys first win after losing 2 straight games from the Leon Lett Thanksgiving debacle to then losing to the Falcons the next game. The Cowboys had to win out to essentially win the division and this game was the first of 5 games they had to win in a row to again win the division and get homefield advantage in the playoffs.
To the Eagles credit even though they lost this game. they played the cowboys really hard. But in the end playmakers always come through in crunch time. And the cowboys had them
No one hated a team more than Dan Deirdorf hated the Cowboys. Eff you, Dan. You got to watch them steamroll the NFL 3 times in 4 years and kill your beloved Cardinals game after game.
Eagles have no guts in this game. They need to fire the head coach for decision making. At 36:59 it's 4th and 5 at the Dallas 35. Do they kick a long field goal or go for it down 10-0. Neither! They punted it into the end zone missing a golden scoring opportunity and only netting 15 yards on the punt! You gotta go for it there and I'm a Cowboy fan. 😄

Brister was sooooo bad. The 90s we had Randell and a bunch of terrible QBs.
He had guts though. It was tough to even stand in there in an NFL game. A lot of veteran QBs lost their nerve without modern rules to protect them.
