I loved this so much!! I have to analyse this play for an exam, and the actors are so amazing in this that they made me understand much better the personality and intentions of each character. Thank you! Great job!
Thanks Elisa! It's fun to see the characters jump off the page and figure out their motivations with every line and movement. Appreciate you watching and your nice comment!
Pine Woods I had to go see the movie when I was eight with my parents who could find a baby sitter and there was no way I figured out what was going on. Also all through the movie, I keep watching for the cat on the hot tin roof. I was disappointed. As an adult, I loved it.
Ha! yes, I think as a kid, we all take that very literally. It's an expression I have never heard outside of the play. Glad it grew on you as an adult too! :)
Fabulous! I always wondered what this play was about cos I love the title. I had just listened to this exact performance on the radio archives and then went straight onto RUclips to find this - scintillating stuff! And so funny. Thanks for putting this up Kathryn - your performance was knockout!
Oh Kathryn thanks for bringing back my high school terror so thoroughly. Seventeen years old, desperately trying to channel Berl Ives and with each word confirming that my future lay in the chemistry lab rather than on the stage! Still I utterly enjoyed every second of my short and miscast actor's life.
i have to watch the play for an essay tomorrow and im gonna die. we've been watching it in class but i had to go to columbia, so now i have to write an essay about a play i havent fucking seen :D
what kind of stage direction is this that from 0:20 through 01:05, the three principal characters in the play just stand there. One with his hands in his pockets, one taking a sip and the other with her hands on her hips turning back and forth to the dialog like it's a tennis match. The actors are excellent, but the blocking? What blocking?
When you're reading the play and watching it love it ❤️

Why thanks Martin! It’s a tour de force show and role. So well written. I’m glad so many people have been able to find it helpful here.
