I think this is the best live version of Mama. Phil we mankind are proud to have a singer like you. Thank you Phil, Thank you Genesis.
It's tuned down and it doesn't have as much power as the version from 1987 for example

@@aburrows2008 For me the Knebworth version is the best. But, I also love the Wembley version. That whole concert is crazy. Particularly Domino and this song.
I think the "Way We Walk" concerts in the early 90s sounded best.
This truly should have been the final, farewell tour. 2007 was the last great year for concerts in general; pre RUclips, social media, etc. Proud to say I saw Genesis twice in Chicago that year; My Mom (rest her soul) was at the second show in October of that year. She loved Phil and had the time of her (our) life. She introduced me to music from the time I was in her womb, and she resides with the angels, Jesus, and all the musical geniuses in Heaven. I don’t disagree but Ray Wilson also does a very solid live version I’ve seen on utube. I’ve been fortunate enough to see Genesis twice in concert and both times were epic performances.

Shiitt.. that was powefull. They didn't lost the power and quality compare to the 80/90s live. Amazing.. many old bands trying still sing 20/30 years later lose the balls when performing, song sounds lazy and bored. This is not the case.

Nah, the first two albums after Peter left while Steve was still around were as classic Genesis as anything. They changed after Steve left. Still good at times but not quite the same.
