Is the Nikon D90 still a STRONG camera in 2023?

- Yes. It's still a VERY capable camera in 2023 and on! This camera was my first camera into the 'mid-range' enthusiast cameras after I sold my D40 for this back in 2010-2011. I LEARNED photography and camera settings with this camera and it was an excellent camera to learn with, especially since I used the older Nikon D lenses with it. I would HIGHLY recommend this camera for beginners, especially if most of the newer cameras are far out of your budget.
Grab a decent portrait lens to go with it and you'll be set!

D90 NEVER DIES
Haha! Yes!
Yesssir
Definitely ! I brought mine while trekking in Scotland, Japan, Finland countless times. The worst weather possible hasn't killed this camera. Pretty much immortal. Even now, nearly 15 years after I bought it, still working perfectly.
Also, as long as you don't attempt to make videos, a single battery lasts for days. Compared to newest models that's a huge benefit.
Actually just got one 5 days ago.
Wish i could say that for my D80's both sitting on the shelf with "err" problems, suspect those plastic screws on the Shutter wheel. Crazy ! lets hope the 90 does not have the same problem 🙏
Great camera, bought the D90 back in 2008 and have used it until last year 2022 when mirror got stuck while traveling through Korea. Tried every trick found on the web without success, and repairing seemed more than the camera was worth.
Did some research and decided to go with Sony A7M4 and two zoom lens in Korea, paying about 20% less than if I had bought them back in the US.
I was so attached to D90, I held onto it; and while traveling through the Philippines, found a camera shop that was able to repair it for less than $70. Love both cameras.
Nice! Not a bad price for having it fixed! Congrats on that A7m4!
mines did the same 3 years ago..i bought another body just because i loooovvee this camera..still a go to just for feel
Bought one for my wife in 2009. She still uses it several times a year. For a hobby we haven't had the need to upgrade yet.
Your story is very much like mine. I started out with a D40 and then moved to the D90. I got it for the ability to use the older lens. I loved my D90 and only upgrade to a D7200 for the 2 SD slots. It is my backup camera and I wont get rid of it. One of the best DSLR cameras Nikon ever made in my opinion.
Haha! Nice! Glad I'm not the only one that was on that path :) The D90 definitely holds a special place in my heart. Thank you for sharing.
Have gone back to the D90 for the 2nd time - just a good all round camera to use. Also it just feels so good to hold and take pictures with
Totally agree!
i bought the Nikon D90 in 2010. It was my choice against newer cameras for the balance between price and performance. I haven't used it a lot beyond 2012, and it was basically in the bag. I haven't been too much into photography and don't have other cameras to compare it with, apart from my iPhone, but I really liked this video today. I've dug out my D90 and maybe will use some of it in the coming days. Maybe an upgrade next year.
Nice! Great to know you still have yours. Thanks for sharing :)
I just acquired a D90 last night from a friend that no longer does photography. Being out of touch with this hobby for many years, I was skeptical to try this older camera out, it's just over 16 years old. However, seeing many positive reviews that have been recently posted about it has given me more confidence in using this and jumping back into photography.
Nice! Enjoy the D90. It's a very fun camera. Have fun with photography first and foremost :) Thank you for sharing!
I shoot with 2 cameras - my primary camera is the D90 and my backup camera is another D90 😏
Nice!! Thanks for sharing!
How many "clicks" have you managed 🤔
@@mikepretorius6350 My D90 has over 50000 shots taken, half of its shutter lifespan :D.
@@rici_21 👍
A powerful DSLR even in 2023, but only in photography. :) Love D90.
Couldn't agree more! Thanks!
Great review. I love my D90. Still captures nice clear images and has a lot of adjustability in the menu.
Thanks! I won't be selling mine anytime soon. Glad to know you're still using yours.
Just got mine a few days ago. Used to shoot with the D60. I can say i am very happy with the results so far.
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
I love this video. Relevant and quick and to the point. Can anyone reccomend a Nikon with an F mount that is better than the D90? I am planning to buy a couple of used bodies because I over exerted my previous D90 while taking 1000s of photos. I want the F mount to match my Tamron lenses. I already have the adapter to connect it to my newer Nikon Z6 but it reduces action imho.
There are a few but one DSLR that most seasoned Nikon photogs would suggest is the D700. I moved from the D90 to a D700. The D700 was my first full frame camera and that camera definitely still holds up, especially if you can find one in great shape. Thanks for sharing!
Bought mine back in 2011, still using it until today. Still giving out good picutres
That's awesome. Glad to know you still have yours. I'm glad I have one back in my hands :) Thank you for sharing.
I bought the D90 when it came out and used it for many years for travel and my kids sports. I then moved to a D7000, then to a smaller D5600 and finally a used D750. I look back on old pictures and I'm still amazed with the sharpness and abilities of the D90. I may try shooting with it again. I haven't felt the need to move to mirrorless.
Nice upgrades! Yeah, I just recently used my D90 at a local car meet and still astonishes me how well of a camera it is! Thanks for sharing!
Great to know. May I ask from the 7000, 750, and 5600, which are the 2 best based on low light performance would you say?
@@tourinojacks5844 The 750 is by far the best in low light since it is full frame. After that, I think the other two are close, but operate pretty differently. For travel, the 5600 is smaller and has the swivel screen. The 7000 has more features, faster shutter, dual cards and such. But for being so old, the 90 still astonishes in color and sharpness.
I haven't used my D90 for three straight years and when I stumbled accros it, I charged it and still works like charm!
Nice!!
Ich habe meine D90 seit dem sie auf dem Markt ist und nutze sie immer noch. Eine fantastische Kamera, die ich noch viele Jahre nutzen werde. Grüße aus Deutschland. Olli
Thanks for the video, I just picked up two D90s in a Auction for a good price. But they cam with out lenses so i was wondering what i could use with them. Ill check your other videos out
You can get any lenses as long as the lens is LISTED as an 'Nikon F-Mount' lens. Enjoy the D90!
Love my d90. It is my go to. Have never had any problems.
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
Hey do you know how to take self timer pictures in it. I am very confused.
Wrong eyecup mounted via your D90 here! DK-20 instead of DK-21, which is the original, matching one. 🙂
Well, that is INTERESTING! Thank you! I appreciate it.
Great review. ISO performance still holds up, and it is a tough camera too. Mine has done countless vacations in Europe and the US over a 10 year period. It was also the camera I used to document my kids growing up. Now retired and still in good condition.
Thanks and appreciate you sharing your experience with the D90! Totally agree with you about how tough it is!
Just bought a used D90 for travel in mint condition. Downloaded the new software. Love its features snd use of older AF lens. Doesn’t have the low light performance of my d7100 but I am learning to deal with that. A bit easier to carry than the d7100. A very solid camera. Also just acquired a Nikkor 18-70 f3.5-4.5 which is a solid walk around lens. Would you recommend a tamron 18-200 all in one but would there be a degradation in performance over nikon lens?
The 18-200 is a very fun lens. I haven't gotten the Tamron version but I know the Nikon version, the one I have, is a bit soft at the higher focal lengths. Thank you for sharing!
As a graphic design student. I definitely gonna buy this after watching your video. The price quite affordable too
Nice! When I was taking graphic design classes in college, we had a photography course and I remember using my old Nikon D40, which at the time, was priced the same as the D90 TODAY. So, definitely get a D90 to start out with :D
Stumbled here after seeing a review of the D90. First camera for me was the Nikon D50. I thought it was amazing and was impressed with the vibrant colors and the fact that it seemed to make my photography better than I was able to do. later I abandoned Nikon for Canon after too much research. One thing that is a noticeable distinction between the two is the interchangeability of lenses between the Rebel and the xxd series Canons. Of note particularly is the IS capability - still interchangeable between the entire camera lineup. This has become more prominent as the DSLR market ages. There are a LOT of lenses available on the used market. Although I have a soft spot in my heart still for Nikon, I have capitulated to the incredible number of options of Canon in terms of lenses, at least. OF course, once you have invested in glass, it sets your direction for a long time. Still love the Nikons though...
Thank you for sharing! Interesting experiences you had with your Canon cameras and lenses. It seems that Canon and Nikon were neck and neck in terms of photography and lenses. Canon definitely has the upperhand for video performance though. But totally agree with you about the glass. A good piece of glass, goes a long ways in your photography journey. Appreciate you sharing your experiences.
Hi, my parents gave it to me After I graduated in 2009. I have a 18-200 vr Nikkor and a 35 f1.8 . The camera was broken twice and I fixed it every time . I love it but it too heavy to bring all the day and during last 2 travels (belgium and malta) because of dimensions of bag i leave it at home (obviuslly by plane!!!!!) now i' m looking forsomething smaller than d90 to bring in all my travel because my iphone is quite good but only in some conditions of light and some kinds of shoots.anyway great review!!
Thanks for sharing! The D90 is definitely a bigger camera. But if you're looking for a upgrade, I would 100% recommend the Z50. Get the FTZ adapter and use your 18-200 on it. The 18-200 is such a fun lens.
Thank you for your advice. I have a question : how many f-stops the camera will lose with the adapter? Yes I think 18-200 is very fun for travel. However I think D90 is e “tank” , I bring it in all atmospherical conditions. I love thai camera !! now i'm on vacation but i leave it at home because of the wheight …. Very bad choice!
I bought my D90 in 2009, then a Sony NEX 7 in 2011, and then a Nikon D800 in 2013. I love them all and still use them all. The D800 is for my serious art work, but when travelling on holiday I have my trusty Crumpler bag with a 2 rig set-up. The NEX 7 has its 18-55 lens (and I have printed flawless 1 metre wide shots with this) and the D90 has a Sigma 10-20. This pair gives me everything I need for my travel photography needs. The Sony NEX 7 is still awesome, but the build quality of the Nikon's is incredible.
The D90 and 10-20 combo is seriously fun. Thanks for sharing!
Hi, I keep getting the error message. I got this camera for my son yesterday. He took couple of pictures and then started ti give us Err on the top line. I watched some you tube videos but I don’t feel comfortable taking the entire camera apart. Also, I have cleaned all the parts. You were amazing explaining in this video so I’m hoping you have some ideas or do a video. Thank you
When I had the ERR issue, it was my third party battery. Are you using the original Nikon Battery or another battery?
Definitely it's an evergreen camera... ❤️ I m living with it for the last 12 years 👍 I m using it for both photography and film making 😊
Agreed! You've had you're for a very long time, thats awesome. Thanks for sharing!
Just bought one of these to be able to use my D lenses with a crop sensor.
Nice! The D lenses are under rated, especially for what they're worth now.
@@BoostLeekdMedia My D90 arrived yesterday and exceeded my expectations. Autofocus spot on and quick even in low light with AF-D, AF-S and Sigma HSM lenses. VR/OS also work very well on lenses that have them. And the camera is a joy to use. Great addition to the family. Funny thing... I just keep buying older and older cameras the better I get at photography.
In 2010, I used a D90 for about 6 months and quickly sold it again because I missed the aperture sensor ring (I needed that for MF lenses).
I kind of still miss it; it has a 2nd gen sensor (a very nice Sony CMOS, where most other camera's had CCD sensors at the time) and was actually better than a Nikon D300 or even a D2x... Nice that it came in the package of a D40; small, lightweight.
At the time I only used it with AF-S lenses because they were a lot faster focusing than AF-D lenses (the AF CPU and the motor in the D90 for AF-D are not that fast/strong).
Nice! Totally agree with you about the sensor. Coming from the D40 to the D90, I can see why some folks really liked the image quality from those 2 sensors.
D90 was my first interchangeable lens camera bought back in 2009 and it's still kicking. Got a mirrorless for travel but I think the D90 will always have a spot in my heart and a place for local photo walks.
That's exactly what happened to me. I bought the D90 ( I was one of the first) in Japan in 2008 . I remember I chosen it "blind" , without looking at the brand . I just held it and looking through the viewfinder, comparing it with canon , pentax and sony . Now I have other cameras ( M4/3 ) but....I cannot get rid of the D90 and I actually still prefer it. There something special about this camera!
My first DSLR was the D3200 i still currently have. When i was first looking into getting into DSLRs a few years ago the D90 was still one of the top ones to pick up. But at the time they were not very affordable to someone like me who was just making the transition from Digital zoom cameras like the Coolpix L120. Even then it still took me a few years to even get my D3200. When i started looking at this level of camera the D3000s were just coming out. But now that i am in a better position financially i am seriously considering the idea of picking up a used D90 as well as a D7000 or 7100 to have as secondary cameras to use with my D3200 which i may still end up picking up a spare one of that body as well.
I think the D7000 (or even the D7100) would make for a nice camera to partner up with your D3200. The only reason I would go with the D90 is the price of one compared to the D7100. I haven't seen the D7100 go lower than $300 around my town but I have seen plenty of D90's on sale for under $150 but those are gone almost immediately.
@BoostLeekd Media on the site I'm looking at them on they are comparable in price. They have the D3200s at great prices too that's why I might grab a spare D3200 or D3300 as well. That way I can have different lens set ups as well as settings. Making for being highly adaptable for various shooting conditions.
Great informative video! It's a great camera. I too had and still have the Nikon D90 which has been used for many of my travels to Japan, NYC, Paris, Rome, the Caribbean etc along with my 18-200mm vr lens. Though the last few years it has been sitting on my shelf and I hardly reach for it due to the weight and size of it. Been contemplating on selling it any maybe upgrading to something lighter but just as good.
Go for it! While the D90 is still an awesome camera, it's what I actually did with my last D90. I sold my D90 for the D700. If you're looking at the mirrorless cameras, check out the Nikon Z50. You can still use the Nikon 18-200 with it with the FTZ adapter as well. Here's my review on the Z50: ruclips.net/video/0qDY1JLzZyQ/видео.htmlsi=gROCnI97583C_PwP
@BoostLeekdMedia Thanks so much for the tip and recommendation! The Z50 looks like the camera that will perfectly suit my needs and some 😀
Still have mine I use it all the time I love the film like look you get from it pair it with the 35mm 1.8 G I love this lens also it’s cheap tac sharp go to for travel with out people watching what you are shooting with
Very nice! Thanks for sharing. The 35mm 1.8G and the D90 makes for an excellent combo.
It's my favorite camera to use. This coupled with a 50mm, 18-75mm and 70-200mm is fantastic. I have a Canon but the colors on the D90 are just more vibrant.
Nice! I don't have experience with Canons but always good to hear about how well the colors are from the D90.
Also, nice GVR4 you got there! :D
@@BoostLeekdMedia Thank you. My Canon has it's strengths. I find it best for low light photography and fast action photography. To be fair...most of my lenses for Nikon I use manual focus so it's not a great apples to apples comparison.
I bought one at Goodwill for $50 just the body and I ordered the Nikon AF nikkor 50mm lens from EBay. And the camera works great and pictures are really good.
Nice!! Wish I got that deal you got. Thanks for sharing!
I definitely agree with you that it's a great cheap camera and the first camera I ever used. Though the only problem with it compared to many of the newer cameras is the problem that it doesn't deal with low light most of the time.
Thanks and I agree, above ISO1000, it gets pretty grainy. One of the reasons why I sold my other D90.
I bought one awhile back in pawn shop with a 28-200 lens for 100.00$ works perfect and looks brand new
Nice!! You got that for a SWEET deal! Thanks for sharing!
Using a D90 with both a Nikkor 300mm and a 600mm for wildlife. The CCD images gives me exactly what I want in the photos. I have another D90 on standby
Nice! And thanks for sharing. I used the 300 F/4 AF-S years ago on my D90. And wow, definitely a spectacular lens!
I bought a D3000 for it's CCD sensor. Great camera but poor low light performance and dynamic range. Considering a D90 to replace it. That has a CMOS sensor.
I have one since 2012 but i used it mostly in automatic mode that time on travelling. After some years I stoppen using it and used my Smartphone for taking pictures. Now i havea DJI Osmo Pocket 3 Videocamera and learn manual andso I thought again my old D90 and how I can learn now manual Mode on it. Whant to take night pictures of Stars.
Thanks for sharing! You definitely can get some decent night images with the D90 with a good lens, like a 20mm F/1.8. I know there are some lenses that are wider, like the 16mm F/2.8 lens
Hey man love your videos! Could you do a review of the Nikon D700 in 2023 would love to see that
Thanks!! Here's my review on the Nikon D700 from a few months ago. The D700 is still an insanely great camera :D I love using mine whenever I get the chance to use it :)

Do you recommend this camera for car photography??
100% When I got my first D90, I went to a lot of weekly car meets and really re-fined my car photography with the D90 and the 35mm F/1.8G DX.
@@BoostLeekdMedia I bought a Nikon d90 with a sigma 18-50mm
@@BoostLeekdMedia do you have any recommendations for finding car meets?
@@XdBadplayerYT oh! that's a nice lens you got right there!
@@XdBadplayerYT I'm not sure where you're located but if you're near a bigger city, it's possible that there are car meets or car shows being hosted by car clubs.
I usually use Facebook to find car events that's happening around my area.
however, I would prefer the next generation or the d7000 option, which can keep up with the latest cameras with its own capabilities. d500 and d850 are better options, but mostly irrelevant or less important.
Especially since most of them are priced nearly around the same now too. Totally agree.
I agree D90 is still a great camera, I got one and have reduced the usage because of smartphone, but after watching your video it got me back interested.
Nice! Camera phones are super convenient but FAR from the DSLR image quality. :) Thanks for sharing.
I recently purchased a second-hand D90, which comes with 18-105mm 3.5-5.6g and 50mm 1.8D lenses. In the past few years, I used my phone for photography, and the D90 is very suitable for beginners to start with DSLRs. Unfortunately, the D90 is not very useful when there is insufficient light
I agree with the lowlight performance. The D90 was my workhorse and right above ISO1250, it gets pretty grainy.
I just bought one to use with a 18-55 kit lens it can with a grip to all for under £100 images are fantastic I bought because I have a D3 D700 and D800 I not shot a DX camera since my old D300 I am enjoying it
Nice! You got yours for an awesome deal! Thanks for sharing!
Hello my friend, i have a problem with my D90.
I cannot take a photo fast with D90. Very slow shots. How can i fix that?
Already thank you for your interest.
The Nikon D90's FPS is 4.5, and that's okay but it's challenging especially for fast moving subjects.
Have you changed the Continuous mode to High? Take a look at page 65 of the D90's Manual and you can see how to switch it from Low to High.
Very good and very accessible camera now. Price is 50-150-ish. Little worry to get it stolen or to loose.
Agreed! Thanks for sharing!
Love my d90! I have bought it 1 year after release, and i still use it to this day!
I do however have 1 thing i like to change here with a extra piece of equipment, cable,....
I like how you van view the photos you make on your phone(android) and even directly use it on Lightroom on your android.
Is there a way or a tool out there to add this type of functionality to the d90? (Wireless if possible)
I haven't looked into it. But a wireless add-on would be wonderful!
Thanks for sharing and good to know you still have yours!
I shoot Fuji Medium format GFX100S and have a Nikon Z5 as my daily driver but i still have my D90 from 2009 and it works brilliantly. The pictures are still sharp and bright.
Nice!! Glad to know you still have your D90. Heard many amazing reviews about that GFX100S ;)
D90 vs d5200 which better for beginners photography
Depending on your budget, I have seen most of the D90's for sale for less than the D5200. While the D5200's image sensor is better, the D90 can utilize the older AF-D Nikon lenses. The older AF-D lenses will not autofocus with the D5200. So, if you are starting out with photography on a budget, I would suggest the D90.
I too have D90, which is cheap aand awesome.. It still gave decent picture in normal light. It is little bit grainy in low light.
it is pretty grainy. If you have Adobe Photoshop, there is a tool that will help with the grain as well. I'm still testing it out but most of my images look pretty good after removing some of the grain.
A great lightweight camera - I still use mine regularly, even though I have higher spec DX & FX cameras.
Agreed! Good to know you're still yours!
My granny is giving me her old d90 I'm so excited I've wanted to get into photography
Very nice!! Enjoy and have fun with it. It's an awesome camera to start learning with.
I've been recently shooting with an Olympus EM5 the past few years and love the size and capability... But definitely been curious to pull my D90 back out and compare. It was my main camera from 2012 to 2018. Miss using the glass, feels like a waste just having that body and my other lenses sitting in the cupboard. Considering moving to the z line just so I can keep using my lenses.
Would you consider giving it out or selling it? I am an independent filmmaker and I'm trying to get the equipments I can afford for now.
I liked my D90... mostly, but I happened to pick up a faulty one, which had the infamous Green Light of Death issue. (Basically, it drains the battery like crazy even if it's turned off.) Good quality of images, decent set of features, but only buy one if you are confident that particular example doesn't have this problem. These days I would rather go for a D7100 instead which is vastly more advanced (not just megapixel-wise, but the AF system as well, etc.) and can be had for quite reasonable prices.
Good to know about that green light of death! Thanks for sharing!
I used a D90 for a number of years and was always happy with it's images. These days they are so cheap for anyone looking to start photography it would be an absolute no brainer to pick one up.
Totally agree! Thanks for sharing!
Got one last week. I love it!
Nice! Have fun with it. It's an amazing camera to learn and grow with.
My parents got it back in the day and they gave it to me to do photography with because it was just sitting around in the case (after some years of use). Though the automatic flash is a bit broken, it still works really well and has a good lens
Nice! Thanks for sharing. It's still a very nice camera. I use mine whenever I can.
Hi I am new to DSLR. Can i buy D90? What is the basic lens should buy together.
Thank you
You can buy one. An excellent overall lens I would suggest is the Nikon 18-200 VR lens. Stay tuned because I will be making a lens review on it soon. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask more questions and I'll try my best to help!
Funnily enough, I gave my wife a D40 with the 18-55 & 55-200 kit lenses. The first thing she said was " Does it do video?"
CEX is a second hand electrical entertainment retail franchise here in Europe and I can get a D90 for £95 or a D5000 for £80. What would you recommend?
It really depends on what kind of photography you're doing. At least with the D5000, you get the articulating screen and a slightly better video performance. Personally, I would still get the D90 because you can utilize more lenses with it versus the D5000.
@@BoostLeekdMedia D90 it is then. 👍 Cheers mate.
D90 x Smartphone actual? D90 still worthy?
The D90 would obliterate most modern cellphone image quality because of the bigger image sensor. While cell phone cameras are nice and far more convenient, the image quality from the cellphones are not as good as the oldest crop sensor camera.
Digital zooms on phone cameras are very very low quality. Put a $80 telephoto lens on the D90 and you'll get better image quality from the D90 against the cell phone :)
I hope this helps.
i am actually still choosing my first camera to purchase.. and i am choosing between fujifilm x-a3 and nikon d90. I see both as good cameras, which do you think i should purchase?
Hard to say because both are great cameras. It really depends on your budget. I know Fuji has some amazing lenses and there are MANY lenses from different third party lens manufacturers. As much as I would suggest the Fuji, my heart still says Nikon just because of the lenses you can find for the D90.
Very cool! Thank you for the info in your video. We loved out D90. We just dug it out of storage and were going to get it converted to infrared. Can’t wait!!
That is awesome! Heard many great things about the Infrared conversions. Enjoy it :)
Hi, just wondering your thoughts - I have a D80 and a couple of different lenses, the d80 has an err which looks like it’s not worth getting fixed, what’s a good 2nd hand Nikon that would be a good buy / upgrade?
Depending on your budget, I think a nice upgrade from the D80 is the D90 or D7000. If you can find a D300s body, i would also opt for the D300s but the D300s is a bit bulkier.
I just got a nice one with like four lenses and a nice tripod, with and lcd screen cover a bunch of batteries and chargers, the user manual and Ben Longs “The Nikon D90 Companion” for $200 off Craigslist from a nice older lady. I think I just got an amazing deal!
That's a SUPER nice deal, especially with 4 other lenses and other accessories. Thanks for sharing!
bought a used body in mint condition for 50$ + a Nikon telezoom for 70$ 4 years ago...what can I say...I love this cam, though it has been in its bag for 2 years now...thanks, your great vid waked up my chubby"sleeping beauty" and it still works flawless!
Very nice! You got the D90 for such an awesome deal too! Thank you for sharing.
I have been looking at the Nikon D7100/D7000 bodies. I have the Z30, Z50, Z5... just looking for a Dslr for a bounce around take on the street camera. Any thoughts about these bodies. I saw your video the 7000's which is how I found this video... thanks! Oh, I mainly do people photography... portraits...
Thanks! I think the D7000 bodies are excellent. Especially if you can find them for a great price. From what I'm seeing, depending on the condition the bodies, I have seen the D7000 bodies go for under $200 and I've seen plenty for under $150 but those are almost immediately sold. So, that's a sign that they're still VERY popular.
I still remember the D90 and D7000 era as well. But the D7000 definitely had the better tech. Either way, the great thing about the D7000 is that you can utilize the amazing line of Nikon lenses.
thank you..otw buy it
This unique camera i love it and of course i have it ❤❤❤❤❤
Tamron 17-50 DI ii 2.8.
I'm still using the D90 as my main camera, and it works great, takes great pictures, and if it gets lost, damaged, or stolen, I'm not out a whole lot of money....Some of the higher end lenses I use with it are worth more than the camera body itself, but these days even good quality DSLR lenses have been falling in price, as more and more folks switch to mirrorless. Personally though, I prefer having an optical viewfinder and long battery life. 12 megapixels is plenty for me.
Thanks for sharing! And, totally agree. If the camera and lens falls and for some reason, the lens survives, and the body doesn't, I would be too discouraged as well.
Hello sir, how can i transfer my photos in Nikon D90 to Android Phone? please answer 🙏😌
The only way I could transfer photos was putting the images on my computer and transferring the images from the computer to my phone.
Is this good for studio photos???
Yes it is :) The D90 was my MAIN camera for a little over 2 years and I took it to studio shoots, collaborations and family events. Give it a good lens and you will see image quality improve. :)
Still using mine with nikkor 35MM1.8
Nice! Same here. The 35 F/1.8 was stuck on my D90 :D
If i came from D3200, is this a waste or an upgrade?
It really depends what kind of photography you want. The D90 can use the autofocus on the older Nikon AF-D lenses. If you need better lowlight performance, the D3200 is better than the D90 though. But, I think I would still prefer the D90 because you can use more lenses with the D90.
A classic camera arguably the best bang for buck ever…
Totally agree. It's a crazy good camera!
Excellent speech
Hi,im using D5000,is the lens can use at D90?what DSLR can you advice for Mid range?
The D90 can utilize more lenses compared to the D5000. But, if you purchase a modern lens that does not need the autofocus screw, it should be able to autofocus with the D5000. As for DSLR recommendations, it's hard to say because I do not know your budget and what kind of photography you're doing. I hope this helps.
got my d90 way back 2010 and still a tank
Very nice!! Glad to know you still have yours!
Great camera. If your advance photographer. You can take some good pictures.
Definitely!
My dad has a d50, 5100, and 200. He wants me to learn the 200 but I don’t know how to adjust the aperture! Usually just hold the exposure button and move the dial but all that does is “+.3”. Please help with this as it should be simple.
If you're in manual mode, you should be able to adjust the aperture with the front dial. I hope this helps.
I got a first one D90 that was robbed and bought another one for it is very good (but not for video).
Oh no! Glad you got another one though! Thanks for sharing!
what about the D80? I am planning to buy either of these two depending on the camera condition and price
Here's my review on the D80. ruclips.net/video/edAvaz8qPpc/видео.html&ab_channel=BoostLeekdMedia
I think it still holds up but the D90 definitely has better specs. BUT, if you're on a budget, the D80 is great. D80 users love the colors from it :)
@@BoostLeekdMedia thanks. I just go ahead and buy the D90. Waiting to arrieve in 2 days. Cant wait to use it.
like the OP said; the D90 is a LOT better value and quality. have fun with it!
@@PeterR0035 thanks, it may arrive tomorrow :)
How does it compare to a 15 pro? If someone who knows alot could let me know would be great 😁
If we're talking about convenience and portability, the 15pro is the clear winner. If we're talking about image quality, the D90 will the one photographers go to. If you know what you're doing, the image quality obliterates the 15Pro. The 15Pro's zoom (or "telephoto") will produce unusable images compared to a D90 with a $80 55-200 VR lens.
While the 15Pro is extremely portable and convenient, the image quality is just not there yet compared to this Nikon D90 with a $100 prime lens.
I recently got this GLORIOUS JEM & this thing is the....well U know!!! Also i have 6 other NIKONS in my stable including the AWWWWWSOME D300!!!
Nice! Hope you're enjoying it. Thanks for sharing.
What about night photography ?? Is it good when I want to shoot in the night ?
It really depends what lens you're using and how much light you're working with. Depending on your settings, above ISO1000, it does get pretty grainy.
Sir.. now D90 it OK to use?
Yes it is! If you can find one that's still in great shape, and you have a set of Nikon lenses, I would suggest getting one to start out your photography journey with.
I just bought a D90 with 33k shutter count for only 150k won... Is that justify?
Yes it is! Great price. I am assuming it's $120USD when converted to that currency, correct?
@@BoostLeekdMedia114 usd brother 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Just bought one
Hi guys. How does the d90 cope with dslr scanning? I sold my d800e to afford a Mamiya and now i'm in need of a cheap way to scan the negatives. I still am in possession of my old D90 so o was thinking using that for the scanning. Any ideas?
I would assume the D90 is still good for those projects. I know that having more megapixels would help but if you're showcasing these images (from film to digital) online, then I don't think it matters. Get a good macro lens, like the 60 F/2.8D Macro, and you're set!
Thank you. I will try.
Hello. What would you choose between D90 and D3100?
Personally, I would still use my D90 just because you can use more lenses with it. And I do like that the D90 has the top screen to see what you're settings are as well.
Super Sharp pics Nikon are not dead
Still using the D90 to this day :)
I just got done using mine the other day! It still produces some amazing images and colors.
What was the canon competition model when this came out?
If I remember correctly, it was the Canon 50D
Can I shoot music video and visualiser with this I just purchase mine
It's possible but it will be VERY frustrating as the video autofocusing is basically non-existent and you're limited to 5 minutes of recording time.
Yep D90... a legend!
Yes, it is! :D
Сейчас 2023 год. Просто по приколу купил себе данную камеру. Короче, это "Dark side of the moon" на виниле...
Após 14mil cliques a minha d90 se vai. Travou o espelho. Fui ver o preço para consertar. Quase o preço dela… não vale mais a pena. Vou ter que eu mesmo tentar consertar sozinho. Uma grande câmera. Mas parar com 10% do uso. Me decepcionei. Sim mais de 12 anos me acompanhando.
D90 is awesome!
It really is!
I need a 50mm lens for my d90 please guide me
