I've played through Yakuza 0 and Komeki mentioned that even with the loss of one eye, Majima has compensated for it with his senses being heightened. So,to me, maybe his crazy ass is holdin back. Then again, who knows, lol
He only told him he was stronger with 2 eyes to cover the fact that he was holding back. In Yakuza 5, he says he held back against Saijima since he'd gone soft in prison, and honestly didn't stand a chance. It's just like how he was holding back against Kiryu in Kiwami.
saejima’s story is one of the best storylines in the series. The first time I played his chapter on ps3 I felt like he was on borrowed time from the minuet he made it to kamurocho. Very good times.
It's odd to see Majima feeling guilty and acting awkward about it. Also i like how for a split second, despite the sombre mood, he looked so offended when Saejima caught the baseball before he could hit it (he was very lucky Majima didn't absolutely destroy his hand actually lol.)
I feel like Majima and Kiryu have the same kind of relationship than those guy like the brother that toi want to protect and kill at the same time i hope we will see Saejima and Majima in yakuza 6

im calling it now. Goro Majima is the Revolver Ocelot of the Yakuza series. Especially after seeing his backstory in Yakuza 0...he was NOTHING like he is in the other installments. Just replace the supernatural gunplay with knife work and there you go.
Pretty much everything. His friendship and rivalry with Kiryu mirrors Big Boss and Ocelot. Also, yes his reveal that he never was crazy and it was all an act to inspire fear and intimidation(as well as enjoy life) is much like Ocelots reveal in MGSV that his sadistic and villainous nature was all an act to build a feared reputation and spread the name of "Shalashaska".
Joseph Daniels not just that, Saejima just got out from prison so Majima didn't want to go hard on him. In Yakuza 5 he said that Saejima wasn't strong enough to beat him so he held back.
You know after seeing the story of Saejima play out from more than one angle you'd THINK he'd more depressed or angry. Instead Saejima is good boy and totally chill, a rock in the best way possible. IDK how he does it but he does it and supports his kyoudai well.
He's got quite the temper, but he's much more controlled than Majima is. He only lashes out when neccessary and dosen't go too far and knows when to stop Dudes practically a gentle giant, and is super wise during the events of yakuza 5

While Hannya is a woman turnt demon after facing sorrow and rage, but in Majima’s case he also has ink of snakes surrounding the Hannya as well as his Snake skin Blazer. Since the Yakuza series utilizes both Japanese and Chinese mythology, and I’m Chinese myself I think they meant that Snakes and Dragons shares a great bond, while Snakes and Tigers aren’t really buddies. But we see that Majima met and became brothers with the Tiger before ever meeting the Dragon which I suppose tells us that Majima’s snake means to transform instead of the “rebirth” that snakes are also known as. Sorry if all this is confusing I’m not totally into these kinds of things but this is just my understanding from what I see/what I know

Something to note here is that we know from Yakuza 5 that Majima is way stronger then he's letting on and holding back not having the heart to show his brother how weak he's become. When you keep that in mind during the end fight cutscene it becomes very apparent and even changes the tone to an extent

I've played this game more than one time, and let me tell you: Don't make slow combos when we are talking about fast-moving bosses. Use quick attacks to avoid being hit, and then use the charged combos.
The ONLY thing I'm sad about is you didn't get his Feel The Heat moment. Hearing Majima say "oro?" before getting slammed into the wall is priceless. Other than that, thank you very much for posting one of my favorite scenes!
Nah, Majima was meant to go with Saejima but Shibata called him for a serious talk just before Majima was gunna leave to meet Saejima. He wouldn't let Majima go, Majima fought back and eventually cost him his eye.
yeah basically Shibata told him to stay behind, Majima said Saejima is his only brother and he's not leaving him to face 18 men alone and he's going to help him no matter the consequences. Because he refused to grovel to Shibata, it cost him an eye. Shimano chalked up the whole situation to insubordination and stuck him in the torture hole for like a year
@CommonBlahBlah Yeah that was one thing you'll notice in my vid. I tried too hard to use Saejima's full combo (Sq, Sq, Sq, Charged Tri, Tri, Tri), which was why I ended up taking a beating. Though I recorded this, basically being my very first time fighting Majima, so I wasn't expecting him to avoid/counter so easily. It's something for me to learn though from Saejima. Having him fighting his Amon fight is going to be interesting when that comes. I'm going to look forward to that however. :P
The dodge sequences that you do when saejima fights with majima seems so uncharacteristic since he's very slow and fights with pure strength like a brute I think they should have gave him a different animation than reusing the same one from 3
Fun fact only time majima loses is to kiryu or when the story needs him too always remember the MAD DOG OF SHIMANO RIVALS THE DRAGON OF DOJIMA, for a reason if were being cannon majima has only ever lost to kiryu in canon unless the stiry says otherwise 😂

I would recommend the ability to gain heat while blocking. Put yourself in a corner and block when Majima spins.

The dodge sequences that you do when saejima fights with majima seems so uncharacteristic since he's very slow and fights with pure strength like a brute I think they should have gave him a different animation than reusing the same one from 3
theblacksamurai646 Saejima is TOO slow IMO. He hits hard, but he moves like a tank. A really slow tank. You can always spam the charge attack though.

Fun fact only time majima loses is to kiryu or when the story needs him too always remember the MAD DOG OF SHIMANO RIVALS THE DRAGON OF DOJIMA, for a reason if were being cannon majima has only ever lost to kiryu in canon unless the stiry says otherwise 😂

@DrunkenCoward1 I've been reading a lot that Saejima's Amon fight is ridiculous. Though I'm looking forward to it. I should be fighting them in a day or two. I'm considering recording all the Amon fights also. Even though I've seen them on RUclips already, I'd like to just record them anyway (kinda like a "my way" of doing it... Not to show off, just to see how my way of fighting could compare, as in how I managed to beat the Amons)
