I never could get the Livongo meter to read, it would time out really quickly. My physician could not get it to work either. Now using a GE100 which is a free meter through Price Shopper pharmacy and it works so much better.
I had a similar experience as you! I took it to CVS and the Pharmacist pricked my finger and it worked PERFECTLY!🤷🏽♂️ I tried it on my own this morning and used up to five strips and it NOT👎🏽 WORK FOR ME!!..Does Medicare and Blue Cross cover GE 100? HELP PLEASE!!

Thank you for your thoughtful review. Beware of Livongo. One day this meter appeared with no explanation and my birthday present this year was a no connection message and a number to call. I called the number and the woman said she would look into it and get back to me. She never did. Now I have this crappy meter that takes a lot of blood to fill a strip, if the strip will absorb at all, and I have no way to recover my readings from the meter except to scroll through it and write them down, one-by-one. Thanks, Livongo, you scumbags!
For the FDA to certify a blood glucose meter, 99% of the tests must fall within 20% of lab test results - meaning that the number you see on the screen is in a range of +/- 20% - so your Livongo meter's 110 reading means it thinks your BG is somewhere between 88 and 132, and your Dexcom thinks your BG is somewhere between 101 and 151. So, the readings are roughly equivalent, since they are within 20% of each other. If you were to do successive readings with each meter, you'd see the number wander all over the place in that range. Yeah. I'm comparing the Livongo meter to the Countour Next myself; just got the Livongo today and already noticed that it requires a much larger blood sample than the Contour, and the whole thing just seems clumsy compared to the Bayer. My first readings? 116 on the Livongo, compared to 111 on my trusty Contour Next. :)
Mine started out that close, but now (after 8 months) the typical discrepancy is at least 40 points higher with the Livongo vs. the Next. Also, I get the same number on three different Next meters.
Livongo, not linvogo. No sounds on mine. I use a different lancet also. Yes, it connects to a cell tower every time you use it. Cool, and I bet it reset your time.
Insurance is trying to push this meter on us. After watching this video, I could not be less impressed. It’s 2021, how is this thing so large? The test strips are the size of a stick of gum. I’d rather buy expired contour next strips off of amazon or eBay than use this for free.
Hey Brandon understand this. Actually I have stopped using this meter. It started giving me inaccurate readings. I need to do an updated review on this meter because it’s definitely not the same as when I first recorded it. I vote contour next all the way.
Livongo will ask personal medical questions without confidentiality agreement and collect the meter info for whatever nefarious purpose, thats why they are pushing it.
I CANNOT GET THIS THING TO LINEUP! I WENT TO CVS AND THE PHARMACIST PRICKED MY FINGER AND IT LINED UP PERFECTLY! I AM AT MY WITS END!! Sorry for SHOUTING!!

I’ve noticed the same thing...the Livongo now reads about 20 points higher than my Contour Next meters, where it used to be pretty close.
Does the FDA have allow these companies to ask you personal medical questions then collect the data for unknow reasons.
