Then after that, you had two more RC levels. One was like the fifth level, and the other was like playing a third person racing game. You cannot miss any of the batteries that come your way. I swear that toy car was low on batteries from the start. The last level is catching up to Andy's car. From what I saw, they left RC to rot on the road, after lifting off.
I think its the parallax effect I love so much (I didnt know the term when I was a kid) I was blown away that the floor moved realistically and that you could see the sides of the desks and stuff as you passed by.
Yeah, I agree. I was always impressed by that. And the legs in the pizza restaurant. This is funny though - I noticed after I uploaded Aladdin (Master System version) that it does the same effect with the parallax - the 3D edges of things move the same way. If you like the effect here, you should see how impressive it is on an 8-bit machine.
Ah, one of my childhood favorites! I remember not being able to get past the third stage as a child, but I managed to complete this game after a couple tries as a teenager. Unironically one of my favorite SNES games, but that's mainly due to nostalgia.
Also may I ask out of curiosity, why didn't you play through the Genesis version? It's easily the more complete version of this game. (Weird considering I grew up with the SNES version. Haha!)
Toy Story is the ☝️ Disney/Pixar 🎥 that started it all, and it has continued a tradition ever since, with 🎥 such as A 🐜's Life, Finding Nemo (and the sequel Finding Dory), Monsters, Inc. (and the prequel Monsters University), The Incredibles, 🚗 (and the sequels 🚗 2 and 3) and Up, among others.
Whoa, I didn't know this was on the SNES. I completed this on the sega genesis. Oh, and that "Food and Drink" Level can kick me, with those paper airplanes and paper cut out legs walking by. Lol, paper airplanes, in what looks like a closed arcade. Edit: that Level before the fight against the Claw, is drastically different than that creepier looking version on the sega genesis...
If my memory serves me correct, over here in the U.S. when I the film premiered, I used to see a demo kiosk of the "Genesis" version of this in select movie theaters where you play a random stage of the game( I think in a time limit where when the time was up, they boot you back to the title with a Thank you message afterwards.....) and yeah....back then, it looked amazing!!
The Game was made for the Sega Genesis originally and was later ported to the SNES. Honestly it’s probably one of the better conversions, but there are still a few issues with the SNES port that make the Genesis version the more ideal way to play the game. The collision on Woody’s pull string is a little pickier in the SNES version, which makes The Claw boss a lot harder.
@@mr.pendleton7121 Not just that, The level complete jingle and game over jingle wasn't added for the SNES version, Unknown reasons, but It could be because limitations.
The Genesis version is a little better and more complete, but this *_does_* have superior graphics. I'm rather confused by the lack of the driving level from the PC and Sega Genesis version. Originally, it was going to be implemented onto the SNES, but was scrapped due to issues with the 3D. If Batman Returns could do it, why not this game? And why is there no music for the credits, the cutscenes or whenever you beat a level? A good port. It's just a bit rushed compared to the Sega version.
The Windows version isn’t very good. Its missing a lot of the pseudo 3D effects. Also the animations and physics are noticeably jankier. Apparently the port was rushed out to release along side the VHS of the movie. The guy working couldn’t even use the source code of the original Genesis version cause it would cost Disney a fee. The only real advantage the Windows port has over the console releases is the Redbook Audio soundtrack. In short, stick with the Genesis and SNES versions, but stay away from the Windows port.
The Super Nintendo game is missing the "Day-toy-na" level from the Sega Genesis and PC version. Apparently, they were planning on implementing it onto the SNES, but certain complications with the level's 3D rendering made them cut it out. I'm not sure why that is considering games like Batman Returns on Super Nintendo had no problems, whatsoever, implementing a 3D driving stage in it.
I have a message for those who compare this to Donkey Kong Country. Theres a big difference, This has some trickery in place to do 3D Floors and sides of cabinets/objects. DKC is just 3D rendered sprites on backgrounds.
The 🎶 for Toy Story was composed by Randy Newman, a member of the famous Newman family, which also included his late father Lionel Newman and his late uncle Alfred Newman, both of whom were 🎶 directors for 20th Century 🦊 (Alfred Newman composed the familiar and iconic 20th Century 🦊 fanfare) and his cousins David and Thomas Newman, both of whom are also 🎶 composers, and arranged by Martin Joustra & Andrew Blythe of Swallow Studios, Ltd.
Despite its flaws, Toy Story is an extremely impressive SNES title that does an great job of giving us more of what we loved from the movie.
Mirak Sahrane Yeah the controls aren't that great, for sure
NintendoComplete yeah it was definitely what I wanted next gen
Thanks for the guide so I could figure out what triggers what and hits what
Have you played the sequel yet?
thanks for helping me for this game
The Roller Bob level was definitely the hardest level for me to beat as a kid. I remember using up a lot of lives and continues.

Oh wait, so that's what he really saying? I really trying to figuring out what did Nightmare Buzz on the start of the boss. Thanks to you.
I still think this is the best graphics for the SNES. I have fond memories of this game and had it for SNES and Game Boy

Sweet I'm actually going to check that out right now!
+Aaron Booth now that you mentioned it
this could've been mistaken as a gameplay on the Nintendo 64
You might wanna check out Maui Mallard in Cold Shadow on SNES. It has just as impressive graphics!

RockmanSam Oh wow, really? That's cool. I didn't live in the US at the time so I don't recall ever seeing that! I had no idea.
Do you have any info or pics of this? I would love to see it

Such a great game nostalgic hit forsure
I have a fond memory for this game. It was too hard for me as a kid to complete it, but finally did it recently.
Watch out, here it comes
39:17 The humans are like saying
"Up in the sky!"
"Look!"
"It’s a bird!"
"It’s a plane!"
"It’s Buzz Lightyear!"

I love the Food and Drink music
24'00" insane graphic for a snes! i had never make this far!
My favorite Toy Story game version (SNES)
11:05 woody just had to throw buzz out the window just like emperor kuzco did with old man Rudy, didn’t he
That's *_kind of_* what happens in the movie. Except Buzz is flung out of the window by a lamp.
Same graphics Donkey Kong Country
DKC looks better imo
Not at all, this has some 3d walls and floors, dkc just has prerendered sprites on backgrounds
Not exactly. Donkey Kong Country was pre-rendered backgrounds and sprites. This game is just 3D floors.
Here's a twist: the evil Buzz fought in level 4 is the same one who became Zurg in Lightyear
Do the credits have any music or is it silent for the whole thing?
No, it's silent. The Genesis version has music for the credits.
they skipped an extra race in the snes version....
Where did you get as many games ?
Emuparadise :V
That RC level is the one I all ways fail on
One of my favourite games on the snes

I see that you did mention the right schedule but the person goes thorough the details as to why
What level is missing on the snes version?
@TheOffNDer and pc
Snes Daytoyna Is Lost
@@GizmoElMogwai really inside the claw machine

The floor and cabinets is not mode 7. It uses a trick to make you think the floor and objects is moving
