Yes, please an in-depth discussion of hijrah to the gulf! No one talks about this stuff honestly… I feel like people only speak positively (maybe scared of jeopardizing their visa???)
nah manh its actually gud have been living here for 10 years now and its not bad trust one of the best places to live on earth from a muslims perspective as well as of halal stuff and food she dint mention that u dot even have to check if the food is halal or not cuz it a 100%
Thank you for the great in depth video. I grew up in Dubai and i remember just feeling so uncomfortable by the human rights situation. It also wasn't so typical for women to attend mosques there. Minor point i had to correct though Doha hosted the world Cup not the Olympics.
Very interesting perspective, thanks for sharing! We have visited the region a lot and stayed long-term, and I have always felt much safer there than in the US. I feel like school shootings and overall violence are a lot more likely in the US than children falling out of buildings - which honestly, it should be every parent’s priority to take precautions no matter where they live. As for human rights, I can feel you on that, but wouldn’t exactly call the west fair in that regard either. Not that you were comparing the two, but I guess I am :) hope we all find the best place to make hijrah with khair and afiyah!
Yes we are definitely not saying the Gulf is an unsafe place. It’s definitely a safe place to live. I was speaking specifically about building and facility safety for children.
The first place in the GCC started making karak in in Qatar 1982 and still Qatari making the best karak , but sorry you first time come to Qatar then you compare it with Dubai or any places else, there is many places you didn’t visit, I can’t rate your video is good, I feel you limited your self for your issue, I don’t know. But thank you for your visit, next time if you travel with Qatar airlines ask them for the karak they have best karak.
As salam alaikum I live in Bahrain is close to Qatar if you have some chance try to come to visit Bahrain In Shaa Allah Bahrain is so nice country people here also so nice and friendly Alhamdulilah many things here are cheaper than Qatar Alhamdulilah
26:10 this doesn’t make sense, the con is that we Qataris are 10% of the population? By this logic we should stop allowing foreigners to come working in Qatar? I understand what you’re saying is that as an experience you wish you could mingle with more Qataris, but that just means you didn’t go to places Qataris go to. Additionally there’s nothing really we can do except work hard to have more babies….
21:16 that’s not true. It’s been repeated multiple times that taking passport away in Qatar is illegal and that a company would be fined 50,000 riyals a day. 21:43 getting a nanny is NOT cheap in Qatar and can cost 20,000 riyals just for permitting and process. As a Qatari myself I don’t have a maid or nanny. 22:34 sounds like you need better friends. My friends are from all over the world and include Pakistanis, Indians, Sri Lankans, Filipinos, etc.. 23:28 the irony of this all, you generalize the Middle East yourself while criticizing the region as being racist. What happens in Saudi doesn’t necessarily happen in Qatar. What happens in UAE doesn’t necessarily happen in Bahrain. Side note: Kafala system has been abolished in Qatar for many years now and you don’t even need an exit permit to travel
Yeah I would say Qatar is a place to visit, not to live in. I would have a hard time watching immigrant workers doing jobs with low pay, almost like they are owned, make me cringe. I have seen how rich kids treat their helpers. It happens with the rich Indians too. They all have maids and drivers, and some don't treat their helpers nicely. I think at least in the US, if people do the jobs that you don't want to do, they earn your respect, not being looked down on like they are low class. Anyway, Wallahua'lam.

Yep, she was right when it came to human rights. One law for the chiefs and another law for the poor. It's not right.

Really insightful - thank you. I suspected the human rights issue but didn't realise the extent of it. 😐
