- I recently got the Drop Hammer longboard from Landyatchz and have been loving it! In this episode I take it out for a little ride and talk through some of the features that I like best.

Well not to knock on him or anything I loved the video but you have to keep in mind that has only 3 vids out so he is not going to be on the recommended section that much.

Got this board as a beginner and fitted Caguama 80A's on it. It feels nice, stable smooth and sturdy. It was expensive but definitely worth for the quality.
Did you get any wheel bite with the Caguama 80A's

Hey man, sick video. It seems really good quality and professional for just 75 subs. So I'm stuck between this and the drop cat 38, I'm going to be bombing some medium fast hills and also be carving around + doing slides and stuff. Which one should I go for? But again, keep at the videos bro
yes I completely agree, for the amount of subs, this channels quality is through the ROOF

Thanks guys for the support! I use some color grades that I have purchased but also do my own color grading. In terms of a board for medium fast hills, I don't think I can make that judgement for you. I personally use a much stiffer board when doing big hills, but that is just my preference. I mainly use this for cruising around town, but i'd recommend checking out the Landyachtz team to see what they are riding when they are bombing hills, as I'm pretty sure this board is in their roster. I'm seriously considering buying this board. Started snowboarding this winter and got addicted, I rode as much as I could but now the summer (and covid-19) arrived and need something to keep busy until the the next winter season. Would you recommend this board? Thank
I am about to buy this board. Is it stiff, I mean can i really go fast with it? Also thinking can you powerslide with it?

@@eDy0n I think so, I'm still waiting on mine which I just ordered from their website. At the end the description reads "70mm Hawgs Supremes finish the set up off for super smooth slides." So I'm guessing, yes. It's good for power slides.

What happened to ep. 2?
Also, cost aside, would there be an advantage to upgrading the bearings on this board, maybe to some ceramics? The only negatives I've read about Landyachtz boards relate to the 'mediocre' bearings, which led me down a rabbit hole reading about alternatives.
I actually like those Space Ball bearings. Only issue is Landyachtz boards come super tight for the wheels but you can loosen it slightly and it's great.
Are longboards easier to ride than regular skateboards and cruisers? I'm thinking of buying one :)
Hmmm I wouldn't say easier, they are more stable and easier to get started but slides are not ti be underestimates. Cruisers again less stable but are only for just that, cruising. Skateboards have thr steepest learning curve but arguably one of the best feelings landing tricks

Hey Abraham, sorry for the late response, and thank you for liking the vid. I tightened mine up, but I don't think its necessary. I personally like tighter trucks if I'm going down a big hill, but I don't think you'd need it for just everyday cruising. Hope you are liking the board!
What do you believe the weight capacity is for this board? My son wants to purchase the board but he is 260 lbs. Do you believe he will have a board issue?
How is the board holding up? I snapped my first longboard not too long ago and I think it was only about 2 and a half months old. I'm still not sure it it was my fault or what, but one of my biggest concerns is buying an expensive new deck and it not holding up.

I'm surprised you board with running shoes. My feet always get sore if I long board without my skate shoes.

the white one i have still looks clean. unless you are riding it through a lot of gross pavement and wet stuff it should be fine. hope you got a board you enjoy!

Is the Drop Hammer, good for hills?
Just my opinion, but i think longboards like the hammer and the drop cat are mainly low speed hills and cruising boards as well as low speed freeride because they have quite a bit of flex.
For 30 to 40 mph bombing you need a really stiff deck with little flex.

Would you recommend this board for beginners?
I'm a beginner and got this board. It's highly recommended for beginners and I can see why. It feels very stable, easy to turn and smooth as heck. You can really feel the quality in this board.
