    The dipper is incredible as far as flex and turns, I'm enjoying it and wouldn't trade it for the world. I am still adjusting to not having the kicktail - it offers so much freedom of motion but the board slides right out from under you at times. It's worth it to be able to pump and turn like this. I'm 50 and this is my first board in over 20 years. Mine is setup #1 with blue Hawgs, and I'm truly having a blast. 🤙

Love the polarbear trucks and bearings .Only thing I've had to replace are wheels and bushings ..Superior quality not made in America.I have had at least 3 or 4 clones that I cut from plywood and sold em all. lovin this reveiw couldn't agree w ya more w the length of the trucks and how it affects you turning radius... Also definitely gotta have bigger softer wheels for rocky roads especially down here in Galveston Tx.👍👍

  • @maxjarvela4255
    @maxjarvela4255 3 года назад +15

    I have the Ripper and it's one of my absolute favourite boards! The deck shape, the flex, the trucks - the whole package is just smooth surfy awesomness :D
    Been commuting on it with the wider truck setup + 70mm supreme hawgs ever since the weather's gotten more grimy. It's heavier than the standard ez's but the extra grip feels way safer on wet surfaces and dirt. The coasting speed is really nice too.
    Otherwise the ez's are fantastic and preferable since it makes the board surprisingly light too ^^

    Sounds like the ripper with the 130mm trucks would be a great balance because it still has the kicktail but it wouldn't struggle with turning as much. Maybe not as agile as the dipper with the 105s but still better than the 155s. Guess it depends what you're doing with 'em though. Great video (as always)

    • @truefoxtrot2884
      @truefoxtrot2884 2 года назад +3

      Because it's going to be less difference in terrain height difference as you ride, if you ride a 70mm wheel the thickness of a coin, its going to go "down into" every hole/ imperfection bigger than a coin, while if you use a 70x50mm wheel over the same hole/imperfection the wheel will have the sides outside the hole to support it, this will make the wheel move less up and down when in an uneven/rough terrain, having most of the energy going forward instead of up and down will mean a faster, less bumpy ride, hope this helps.

    The dipper with the Gen 6 Grizzlies looks kind of pointless... until I consider that it's basically just a traditional pintail, and who doesn't like that? But I think I'd still prefer those 105s for getting some sweet pumps while cruising my city!

      kind of a late answer (and I'm obv not shred shack) but I have ridden the howdy for quite some time now practicing tricks and cruising. It's an awesome board in general, compared to a normal skateboard it's noticably heavier and surfier. Almost feels like a longboard when you ride it and the 60mm ez's roll over so many things you barely have to manual or ollie over them. The weight can be noticable - was surprised how much lighter my friends hollow truck skateboard felt during ollies by comparison, but I'd personally take the smoothness for the added weight any day since I just got used to it in the end :) I'd mabye take a normal skateboard if my town had a park but since I'm mostly cruising and have practice sessions here and there I'm super happy with it ^^

    I’m from Mexico and the streets are full of cracks, potholes and rough pavement. What would be a better option for me considering that i just want to cruise around, and maybe learn to do some slides to kinda slow down and break?
