I have one of these. Most beautiful looking console I ever owned when unpackaged new, but god damn was it hard to keep dirt and scratches off it. Mine looks like it's lived in and beaten around a bit with the sratches and scuffs.
Reason why it's scratching is because the spinner that holds the disk is missing the little parts that holds the disc and the disc isn't latched in place it's unstable so inspect a slim before buying. If it's missing any of the disc holders it'll be unstable while spinning and it'll bump the disc on the console leading to scratching. Which is where the fat PS2 wins which is the one I own and love

It never did when I originally owned one back when these where new and not this one either.
