@@MadetoSew Yes i saw that but i didn't quite understand how that works since at the beginning there is no thread. Sorry i'm a beginner, so maybe i'm missing something ;)
@@genevieverenaud2537 I am sorry that I confused you. To start I would tie a knot in some thread, thread your needle and go into the gingerbread man body (behind the braid, so that it is invisible) and make sure it is secure (sew over yourself a couple of times, or make sure the knot is secure) and then start the stitch. I hope that helps? Aneka x
Hi Genevieve. Long time since you posted your question, but it sounds like you were referring to the rickrack product she used. It's a flat piece of braided trim, shaped like a zigzag. It's not something I have tried, but I would imagine it could work? Polyester will probably have more spring and a more even consistency, I would think cotton balls could be inclined to separate so look less smooth on the surface? And of course you wouldn't want it to get wet? I'll be interested to know the thoughts of anybody who has used it?

I am very, very confused. I keep going to the website to download the patterns but despite it being free it asks for an adress, email and other stuff so it can be shipped?? It says that it´s in pdf form but I just can seem to download it, can anybody help please?
If Aneka sees this: I sent an you an email!
Hi it's Aneka! It is free and I promise that it won't be shipped. The website just wants you to create an account basically so that you can download the pattern. The pattern is added to your account and then you can click on it to download the PDF. Does that make sense? You don't have to put any real information expect a working email address! Sorry if it's confusing. I am having a new website built so I will look and see if there is a better way to do this. Thank you, Aneka
Too much rabbit!
Sorry Heidi! Thanks for your feedback. :-))

Al Bennett: Message for Al Bennett. You sent me an email through the Made To Sew website. I have tried to reply but believe the email address is incorrect as the mail bounces back. Can you please confirm your email address?
Regarding your question, I am really sorry for the confusion and that this wasn't covered in the tutorial. The ric rac is attached all the way around the legs, the join is at the inside of the leg (or a similar inconspicuous area). I then used the slip stitch to apply it as show in the video. I hope this helps? So you will want to apply after seeing the gingerbread man together.
Please let me know that you have received this.
