How to make a felt ornament - DIY stuffed ornament sewing with blanket stitch

I’ve been doing this stitch for years but my beginning and ending stitches have never been so tidy! Thanks for the visual tips. If you get a chance can you tell me or show me how you are forming the loop at the beginning…slip knot???
