I could watch these vids all night as they take me back to better times in life when it was kind of carefree and no coronavirus going around then!!!

The ICI train at 18.36 was from Ciba Geigy Whittlesford .Normally a bigger train but not on this day.It was usually combined with loaded Grain flow wagons from Newmarket or Royston at Cambridge and then used to pick up more at Whitemoor.

91 blunt end first on the test train is very interesting. That must be about the only time they ever hauled Mk 1 stock.

That train of Grain polybulks and Procor vans with the cars on the back was from King`s Lynn. The vans had Campbell`s tinned soup in then. I think it was either Skodas or Peugots unloaded at King`s Lynn docks!?

Marvellous stuff Darren - I had forgotten how over grown Marholm was between the Leicester lines and the ECML when Marholm used to be a level crossing, would not be able to stand where you were now nor at Woodcroft - fabulous footage at Peterborough such amazing variety, plus shot of what looked like a Redland self discharge train fresh out the box, and those super multi-consist speedlink workings - sadly how things have changed

More great Peterborough classic action Daz, the Marholm shot causing some controversy, i remember it well when the old bridge was still ther, it's now in bits at ferry Meadows station. Brilliant video once again Daz :) liked and faved.

In the days before the endless Buddliea took over and the industry cared about the appearance of the railway. What a gem of a film. A++++

+Edward Pearce Buddleja is a real pain in the arse, it grows out of walls and buildings everywhere, and yet as a professional gardener people still ask me how to prune the stuff or what might be wrong with their example...my answer it could do with some neat 'round up' applied liberally all over it, repeatedly if necessary.

Blimey Marholm is almost unrecognisable compared to how it is now the crossing has gone and the footbridge put in its place. You certainly wouldn't be allowed at that vantage point any more! Once again a really good mix of classic traction and stock.

Not bad. Nice 47 sound near the end. Makes me wonder what year the ECML was electrified and exactly where are you standing at the beginning of this video?

T'was a Cravens class 105, only a couple left by then, used for parcels, but not for much longer.
