      Why he works with Westbrook,and Westbrook has changed and bought into the system. Despite all the assists, he is not ball dominant at all, some of his passes are even just touch passes where he only has the ball for a fraction of a second. Westbrook knows if he gives the ball up, he’s going to get it right back if he gets in the right position or makes a good cut. Lebron maybe excellent passer, but Jokic genious, like a combo of magic fast break passes and Birds interior passing

    • @archyleach
      @archyleach 2 дня назад

      Westbrook always underrated passer, but he never played with someone like Jokic, nd not a good shooter, so if he passed ball he would not get it back, so he’d end up taking shots which are his weakness

    He's playing 3 moves ahead in a game of chess, and most everybody else is still trying to play checkers. The Nuggets just gotta keep moving & he will, without a doubt, find them! It doesn't matter where he is on the floor.... trust, he will know where and HOW to find you!

    That play at 3:03 where he stuffs it in Wemby's face is actually insane to me. He might not be a space alien like the kid is, but he's still large and strong enough to make plays on him that would get blocked by anyone else, and has the ball IQ and situational awareness to make it happen depending on who is guarding him. But also, he doesn't exert himself one iota more than he needs to at any given moment, which means his stamina and physical durability will be higher for longer compared to hyper-athletic players that let their physical abilities fill the gaps.

    • @josemanuelcaballero1162
      @josemanuelcaballero1162 2 месяца назад +2

      @@50Nobody50 You may want to review that. We are talking about a guy who played center replacing Kareem and made a savage performance. We are talking about totally different game systems. Magic could and would score 40 if needed. Would grab 120rebounds if needed. Would make 20 assists if needed. And he s got 5 rings and the highest win shares in NBA history to date. He defeated brutally tough teams like the Boston Celtics, The Bad Boys, DR Js and Moses Malone 76ers and others in the post season and finals in the toughest era of the NBA. So, yo may want to review that. I think they are close , though. I love Jokic! But when things are god tier, being an average fan , its very difficult to make such statements. At least its hard to me, and I have been watching and playing ball in teams for nearly 4 decades.

    • @50Nobody50
      @50Nobody50 2 месяца назад

      @@josemanuelcaballero1162 did all of that all by himself too, amazing. No, saying that Magic could score 40 if needed is total BS. He was capable of scoring forty, he was capable of grabbing 12 boards, or dishing 20 assists, but so is every HOF player. Did he do any of those three things on a regular basis? No he did not. I won't make the obvious statistical arguments because the game is just not at all the same anymore. I know that in todays game, Magic's biggest asset would be as a point defender. I'd love to know how any of the greats of that era would be if they worked on the three point shot as though it was more important than drawing fouls when you scored. That's the main difference in the eras from my perspective. At any rate, those two being already near impossible to compare between the era and position differences, I'll agree to disagree.
      In the spirit of full disclosure, there is no part of the argument that will work here, because I am no Magic fan, and began watching pro sports two seasons after he entered the league......first few games I watched were Celtic games. What is Joker other than a larger and evolved Larry?

    1:30... filthy behind the back followed by another filthy behind the back to completely dust two defenders followed by a jelly roll right down the pipe... oh.. yeah.. by the way he's 7' tall and a Center....

    He can shoot, dunk, throws passes behind, mid, full court. Yet he is a lumbering tree. He uses the smaller guys to run through and be his speed, then when they fall back he is close enough to hit almost anything.

    I grew up a Lakers fan and I've been a fan for 40 years and Magic was my favorite player, I've watched him play for so long and he's bigger and I hate to say it but ok more efficient than Magic but his game is almost identical!! Just go watch Magic highlights then come back and watch Nikola!!

    Maybe we are in the most athletic NBA era, and this guy is embarrassing the entire league been the smarter player on it, by far. Are some things new or never seen before?. No. But he's ruthless passing the ball like Magic or Kareem, or scoring in the clutch like Bird, MJ, Kobe or Lebron.Jokic is a jewell, a plesaure to watch.

      He does one dribble by the looks of his right arm motion. But it's really hard to tell for sure, maybe it is just a huge tracel
