    I STRONGLY look forward to the Vbridger mouth with blend shapes. I've followed a guide on doing it but you are fantastic at making people actually understand what is happening, rather than just saying "do this".

    This is AWESOME, you're great at this! I watched several blendshape tutorials and none of them ever answered the question to why to use them. It completely clicked for me when you showed 1:22.

    Thank you so much! This is the most clear tutorial I've found about Blendshapes. I couldn't figure out what they even DID, and you explained it so precise! Definitely recommending you when anyone asks for live2D tutorials! 💗

    Happy to see you back!!
    I was just looking in to learning about blendshapes. I hear that one drawback is that they're unable to be used in the physics menu? I haven't played with them myself much.

      Thank you!! I should be back to uploading more regularly from now since I'm a lot less busy!
      My experience so far using blendshapes with physics is limited, I do know you can use them as output parameters without too much issue

    So would the best way to make your life easier when doing blend shapes on a work in progress rig be finish the basic rig and come back in for the blendshapes? Because I’ve been working on a personal model for around 6 months now and wanna try this out on it

    • @CutieDragon
      @CutieDragon  11 месяцев назад +2

      honestly doesn't really matter either way, but it tends to be easier to make the blendshapes for the specific parts after the base rigging is down so you can better see how it interacts with the other keyforms!

    Hey Cutie Dragon Thanks for the tip.
    I have a question: Is it true that using blendshapes then you will no longer be able to use form edit in the timeline animation?

    • @CutieDragon
      @CutieDragon  Год назад +1

      I believe so unfortunately! There are a few limitations on using them so bear that in mind!

    Me, discovering Blend Shape only after almost finish the model 💀

  • @alicebissonnet457
    @alicebissonnet457 Год назад +1

    I had started rigging my model before the blendshape update and am so worried of adding them and messing up everything I did before; But starting again from scratch depresses me so much :(

    • @CutieDragon
      @CutieDragon  Год назад +1

      You could experiment around with them, just make sure to save a duplicate and mess around with that one not the original!
      What sort of parts are you considering using blendshapes for? It can help to get an idea first then check your parameters to see if anything might break from that

      @@CutieDragon Hi there! thanks for answering my comment! Well I think they'd be useful for emotes ( such as heart eyes, angry face, outy face and such) since I have my base model all prepped and ready (she's rigged, i've added some physics to the hair and accessories etc). I wanted to add more "life" and possibilities to the model with toggles or stickers

    • @CutieDragon
      @CutieDragon  Год назад

      @@alicebissonnet457 a lot of emotes you won't need blendshapes for (just opacity toggles like the heart eyes) but there's definitely some neat uses for expressions like the angry and pout face!
