I saw this effect on twitter literally just today and was in awe thinking "that has to be the hardest thing holy crap the effort" and you just blew my mind with a 4 minute video! Thanks so much holy moly!
See, tutorials like these are so informative and straight to the point! Love that really 😭😭How would you make a holographic/cosmic gradient texture move with clothing? (example, you have the texture ready for the clothes so that way when your model moves, you see the texture move/shift through the colors as you move)
Thanks so much! I’ve never done holo before, but I would try a similar method. Create a control for the sections I want the colors to shift, basically soft sections that move with the fabric folds. Then instead of the speckled “glitter” texture would create a gradient that clips to it. I’d have to mess with the settings but luminosity is probably what I’d stick to for how I apply the gradient.
i tried putting this effect on the eyes and the iris is clipped to the sclera but when the iris is not visible the glitter still is. like when the eye moves or when the eye blinks, the glitter is still visible, probably because there are no other layers covering it up. does anyone know how to fix that? i know this tutorial is old so this might be a longshot but idk maybe.
It’s been awhile since I’ve used live2d a lot, so there might be an easier way to do it, but I believe you can add a mask to the glitter and manually hide it as necessary.
basically, have a layer of the sparkle (should be larger than the area it is clipped onto so different shimmer shows when the model moves) then clip the sparkle to an identical layer that is confined within the area and set it to add, hope this helps!
I've seen this effect on other models and could never figure out how to apply it to my own. This is so helpful, thank you!

This tutorial is perfect! Simple, stray to the point, and showing exactly what to do! That you so much!

hi mam can you make a tutorial of live2d rigging plz
Where would one go to get the shimmer layer? Do you have one for purchase, or how do i make it?
Oooooooh this is amazing, thank you :3
So nice! Thank you 💕
"I'm still a beginner!"
*Proceeds to show how to do the most impressive effect that not even most advanced vtuber riggers use*
Would the artist need to supply the shimmer layer in the PSD file or was this something generated in L2D?
Yes, you'll have to generate the shimmer image and import it into L2D.
@@IvyAlive perfect thank you!

Are you currently accepting art/rigging commissions?
I don't understand *cries*
