As someone who tends to defend Tilke, Fuji is the one circuit where what he's done actually generates legitimate anger from me. This used to be one of the greatest circuits in the world, and would've justified Japan having two Grand Prix races on the F1 calander. Now it's a mediocre shell where nobody knows how to drive the final sector.

I think the final sector was something that Fuji really needed. A slow and more technical section. Not every track needs to be a temple of speed like Monza. Not every track should be. This version is the best I.M.O.
But Fuji were always a temple of speed before tilke ruined it. I know not every track needs to be a temple of speed, but the old layout were one of the most iconic fast layouts in the world
I absolutely love the first two sectors, I used to loathe the final one, but it does kind of have some flow that can make it slightly interesting, it’s growing on me the more I drive it. Except for the chicane. That one sucks big time
Merry Christmas, SouthPawRacer, and I feel in the Track Guides, I feel a lot of Road Courses have gotten Tilkeized for no better and it is annoying they don't put a or keep a NHRA Quartermile on the Road Course Front Strait and try to have an annoyingly long strait that takes forever.
Like, I'm an occasional sim racing dabbler at best but I know this from Gran Turismo and I feel extremely validated to learn that someone who seems to understand these things agrees that the last part of it is prime squiggly bullshit.
I wonder if that's the ex-wife Jimmy mentions on streams these days.

I made a balanced setup for this track, it just made me go off at an angle instead of normally understeering.
Perfect ending. And the song was nice too.
I would buy Fuji and return to its former glory. No need to make the final sector look like a "go-kart" track.
Its why I still prefer driving around it in the 90's variant, its so much more interesting to me.

It was probably my least favorite real track on the game until the put in Ascari and Willow Springs.

These are all the reasons I've only ran a single race on Fuji and haven't touched it since. At least I won lol.

Just get rid of the hairpin/chicane and you've got a decent track despite the weird multi-apex turns right at the end
