I love her design, the little details in particular!
Only 'complaint' (not really): I would have rather gone for the staff instead of bow and arrows.
Simply because unicorns are usually portrayed as serene creatures and dryads are supposedly very peaceful, harmless beings - the staff would have lent itself well for a traveler, a sheppard or even healer type character, which fits the nature of both better, I believe.
But like I said, that little detail does nothing to deminish the beauty of your end result!
I agree with the staff thing. Archery is more commonly associated with centaurs, but this doll more closely resembles a satyr (or faun, depending on the lore, I guess) who tend to be more chill
We made staffs before and haven't made a bow and arrow 😊 she started resembling Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn at some point in the making and the bow idea kinda solidified 🤗 I do get how a staff could be more fitting though, thanks for the input!
@@Enchanterium I think the staff is more of the League of Legends Unicorn girl, Maybe the Bow & arrows can go for a Pegasus character if anyone tried to make a Pegasus doll.

I gotta say that I think this is probably one of the top best dolls you two have made. I don't really know why but the face up seemed beyond par (In other words, my expectiations were high but Judas priest you really knocked it out of the ball park on this one!) and I'm not disappointed. I also gotta say, overall I love the doll but I think my favorite part was the attention to smaller details like blushing on the ears to make them look more like leaves.
I never thought I'd find another doll-customizing channel on par with Dollightful, but damn do I enjoy your videos

It really does look like she could have made her clothes herself, it's so well done and have that hand crafted look. The moss on her side part is a perfect touch! She is lovely, Venus has such a pretty face and you really brought out the beauty of her face mold

I immediately identified with the super glue bottle: i did that with my sewing iron, giving it wide feet so it would stop falling off the ironing board. And yes, I love all your makes.

Fun fact horses/unicorns have thick legs because what most people think are their thighs are actually thighs and knees and what most people think are their knees are their ankles. They also walk on basically their middle finger nail which is why their legs are quite breakable and difficult to heal properly

I was already super happy to see you doing resin and casting but when you brought out the leather tools it just got better. Love how the doll came out!! My daughter LOVES unicorns (she is 3) and she watched with me absolutely mesmerized. If I made a doll for this collab I would mix the two together and make a dark forest unicorn.

Thanks! As for tools, use what you have. We sanded with sandpaper before, and cut with a hand saw and all that!
Dollightful used to use a jeweler's saw I'm pretty sure
@@lowercase_ash Thank you! I don't actually own a jewelers saw but I plan to just use my handheld woodcutting saw. It is gonna be a very rough and messy cut but it will work! (Hopefully)

Już króciutko komentowałam na Facebookowej grupie i się powtórzę - jest prześliczna! Bardzo podoba mi się paleta kolorów i buzia. Na zdjęciach nie zwróciłam uwagi, ale ma ślicznie wyrzeźbione kopytka! Podziwiam!
Tak z ciekawości - po tym jak wlóczka pofarbowała lekko główkę... Czy jak patrzycie na swoje starsze lalki np. Winx, czy te ze starszych filmików - czy czasem jest tak, ze odkrywacie, że jakiś element customu nie "zestarzał się" dobrze (pofarbował, wygiął się pod wpływem grawitacji, klej nie trzyma). Szczególnie intryguje mnie to jak często na filmikach rożnych autorów widzę klej na gorąco w akcji. Mam bardzo nieprzyjemne doświadczenia z klejem w lalkowych głowach i sama wolałabym takiego rodzaju, który pod wpływem temperatury może się roztopić (pamiętam, że Dollightfull dała lalkę do wrzątku i klej wypłynął z już wyrzeźbionych części). Nie obawiacie się np. jak akwarela na skórze może się zachować jak kapnie na lalkę woda itd?
Bardzo szanuję też za wszystkie chemiczne wstawki i to od osób z wykształceniem. :) Sama miałam tylko podstawy na studiach (dotyczące właściwości papieru i farb do grafiki), a farby to chemia, więc się mogłoby przydać więcej, szczególnie przy lalkach.
Dzięki! Nasze customy raczej trzymają się dobrze - zabezpieczamy je lakierem odpornym na promieniowanie UV. Mamy niestety kilka lalek na których użyłyśmy słabej farby która się utleniła i zmieniła kolor. Co do ciepłego kleju - do zabezpieczenia włosów od środka lalki nie używamy go, tylko polimerowego kleju odpornego na temperaturę. Jeżeli używamy wrzątku to planujemy proces customu tak żeby nie narazić się na takie wypadki 😉 co do akwarel - znów, zabezpieczamy lakierem + o lalki dbamy także nic na nie nie kapie xd
@@Enchanterium Dzięki za tak szybką odpowiedź! :) Oczywiście Wam nie chciałam zarzucać, ze nie dbacie o lalki, ale zawsze może zdarzyć się wypadek z lalką, podczas sesji zdjęciowej itd. Ja robię na razie dużo mniej inwazyjne customy i od kiedy używam lakierów to wszystkie z gablotki trzymają się dobrze - farbki mi nigdy nie wyblakły, najwyżej "wżarły się" w gumę jak niczym nie zabezpieczałam.
Kilka razy robiłyśmy sesje nad jeziorem gdzie Ola robi zdjęcia a ja na żyłkach lewituje lalką nad taflą wody - do tej pory bezwypadkowo 😅 a lalki u nas stoją na wysokiej półce więc jedyne zagrożenie to ewentualnie jakieś pająki xd
