That handshake between Modi and Xi didn't look like a border standoff resolved. It looked like disgust from Xi to shake Modi's hand, each feeling the other wondering whose hand was more icy. The thaw in relations will take a LONG time. Xi wants more members in BRICS. Does that include his lapdog Pakistan? If so, I can see India running for the hills. Overall I wish the BRICS would become something like the EU and have its own currency like the EURO. That would implode or explode the Western world entirely. If China and India mend relations, it has the fantastic potential to become a cohesive supercontinent. But one must decide which nations take the backbench or wait at the door. I can think of three. Pakistan, Afghanistan and North Korea. Japan won't join as they are G7 but might get scared of the military China's military and strategic power and cave. I sincerely feel Japan's future lies in Asia and not with the US which nuked it
