I don't know man. In my pro community most people just use after effects. And my channel is all about that anyway, there's other youtubers that probably would be a better option to host a battle like that.

Hi man, thank you so much! I never really set my RUclips channel up as a funnel. I just loved creating these video's, the pro/skool community came later. I do think that is important since otherwise it's easy to quit. If you really like creating vids/tuts then just continue. I just know there's a lot of tutorial channels now starting just to monetize (you know who), which is not bad per se but I'm 100% sure it's super hard to keep that up if you don't really like creating video's.

At 1:53, which VHS-style overlay are you using? I've been looking for that square box VHS-type overlay for a long time but can't seem to find it.
I created it myself (it's a grid + vignette on an adjustment layer)!

Nah, if you’re doing mainly animation I don’t think it’s bad to fully do it in After effects

Ah not really a name for that, but I created it custom, it's an adjustment layer with a invert and scale on it.
