drkslider1182 The weird thing for me is I love the fast neck on the LTD but I prefer the thinner width and slightly wider fretboard one my RG. If only I could combine those 2!!
I did the test blind and turned my head and got amazed I was enjoying the Ibanez’s Rhythm sound / chugs. For leads the LTD M-1000 just sang effortlessly.
The EII is a MONSTER!!!!!!!!! AND my first choice.... however for the price you can NOT beat the sounds of the ESP LTD M-1000 Deluxe. If I were to get 2 it would be these two one 6string and one 7.
ESP and Ibanez sound the best. However we don’t know how do they sit in the mix! Often the least pleasantly sounding most “nasaly” guitars (like that LTD) sit best in the mix 🤷
Those ESPs sit very nice in the mix! And you can hear that exact Ibanez in the full mix on this album: www.jasonstallworth.com/music/heavy-metal-workout/
Yeah, after playing guitar for over 30 years, I just picked up the 7 about a year and a half ago. Took a while to get used to it, and still working on our relationship (me and the 7)
@@jasonstallworth I had the opposite . After playing for 15 years I picked up the 7 and it made everything easier for me for some reason . Maybe the jumbo frets are really what did it. The only guitar I ever really played for years was a Fender tele
@@kultbotcustomshop3849 I think the thicker necks that ESP guitars have, then adding more with the 7 string neck is what threw me off a little. I really need to play an Ibanez 7 because I like those Wizard necks
@@jasonstallworth I just bought an Ibanez prestige 2027 XL and it’s actually easier to play than my six.. The neck is super flat super playable worth every penny.
@@jasonstallworth its got a gr8 distinctive crunch which i love... was wondering what type of pic u like and what thickness? Just wondering cuz im trying to pic like u because I like your style. Are u giving lessons by the way? Ive been playing for 40 years and im starting to suck
Jason, your Ibanez is quite the tonal beast!! Of course so is your ESP, HORIZON 7, the LTD sounded like it was running a high end rewards kind of kit, tone wise that is... But brother, I am truly an amateur, purely going by ear... What pick-ups grace the Ibanez bro?
The Ibanez and Ltd was awesome...both the pickup sounds strong and fitting for the notes n tunes in every of their task..imo the Esp was great too but if i were to pick ill pick Ibanez..or maybe ltd..idk
I have a question. I got a used LTD at a local guitar store and I love it. It looks absolutely 100% identical to the LTD in this video, the only difference is it doesn’t say deluxe. But the pickups, the colors, the machine heads, fret board, all look identical. It says M-200FM on the 12th fret though, but when I type it in and look for it, what I see looks quite a bit different every time. Could it be a hybrid or something? Special order? Or just really rare?
I liked the LTD best, gives more dirt to the tone and therefore had more character in my ear🤷♂️ Is it ok to put a 7string against 6strings? i mean the E-II definetly pretty cool machine but a bit out of the box...
That E-2 sounds and looks beautiful. My only guitar is Ibanez, but for sure im going ESP or LTD for the next one! Ive only been playing for 4 months so probably not getting a new one untill i hit the 1 year mark, then get a new one to celebrate! Stay safe!
All 3 of these have awesome necks the ESPs are totally different from the Ibanez RG. I actually prefer those RH wizard necks as they are thinner with a wider fretboard. It really all depends on what you prefer though.
EMGs have their place but with this particular tone/EQ you have dialed they sound shrill and fizzy compared to the Ibanez passives. If it wasn’t for the low B chug of the 7 string it would suffer the same fate as the LTD. Good to have both tools in your arsenal!
LTD M1000 deluxe with the ablone all day every day and just as good as a ESP custom but 1/4 the price and i have one and i love it ,Its a Korean one and its up there with 4 figure guitars and has a clear bright tones and holds tune mostly and it shreds ,balances well annd looks great
Yeah, that LTD is kinda like magic to me. It plays so effortlessly and I was jamming on it today. I'm getting ready to tune that to C# later this week and I'll have a video on that (make sure you're subscribed!)
Why am I surprised by the tones coming from the Horizon!! Actually all of em!! Jason you really Wail bro' I think it's Ibanez no1. Horizon NO2. LTD no3 obviously... Your rig sounds great...
They both sound good for different reasons, but I think it would sound awesome to have the best of both somehow. I hate the tinny Ibanez sound, but love the punch of its low end. The ESP sounds much better from mid to high range, but lacks the intensity that I enjoy. I use an Ibanez right now, but only because it was on sale.
All three are awesome, but seem to be missing something. Maybe a fourth or fifth additional guitar added to the mix so we don't miss that specific tonal difference!! 🤘
I just starting to get familiar with everything to feel comfortable with what I am after. I referb firearms, so same skill set, and I get to fire off the guitars more often. Wife is still mildly irritated by cost, but that doesn't change much!! Lol!!
i own a esp e-11 m-11 a strictly 7 cobra ks that was owned by pat sheridan of fit for autopsy and an Ibanez rg 652 ahm and i find my self reaching for it the most to play. the feel of the guitars neck is like silk so comfortable to play and the tone is amazing and clear im running the dimarzio tone zone and the air norton in it and the guitar is amazing, dont get me wrong i do love my other guitars they have different purposes but just to sit and noodle around and practice i reach for the ibanez the quality of the build on it is amazing i cant say enough good shit about it lol
I just realized I had a Ibanez prestige, i bought it used, modded with EMG 81/85's and it was only $130. Only issue is fret buzz on the high E which is a simple job at a guitar tech.
If I let the 7'th String out, I would say the Ibanez has a tiny little bit better quality, especialy at the high notes, it hit the notes better that the other two. But, do you have also the same strings on all 3 guitars? Cause as I buyed my "Elexire" strings, the sound quality changed to a whole new warm badass level. I usually use no other strings now than them from "Elexire", try them out for your self, they are a bit expensive, but totaly worthy. The pickups also make great differences and a high quality cable also. So my tipp: If you don't have it, primary invest some bucks in "Elexire" strings and a very good cable, this cost not the world, but it's totaly worthy. The pickups are the secondary choice and depends on your guitar.
I prefer the tone of the Ibanez. Sounds clearer. Maybe its because of passive pickups, or maybe its a sign of Prestige quality, or both. If you had passives in the LTD, it might be a closer comparison.
Dude it's really personal preference at the end of the day. Ive got reviews on both: LTD M1000 Deluxe: ruclips.net/video/6puPdGfYGC8/видео.html Ibanez RG1570: ruclips.net/video/kAovRh9z4yY/видео.html
If we take tone into consideration then its debatable between both guitars. But i have played most brands out there including the Esp and the Ibanez.I must say Ibanez is one guitar which has everything good overall. It never goes out if tune once you set it up unlike other guitar brands which have Floyd Rose system in them.
of the 6 strings I have to go with Ibanez, but that 7 string sounds brutal so I cant really rate that one. I guess tie between Ibanez and E-II. What do you think Jason?
It really depends on what day and my mood...lol! There are days, and this sounds bad, when I wish I had never bought a 7 string. It adds another level of complexity and a 6 is just more comfortable in my hands. but there are always days when I play it and just love it! That Ibanez is completely different with passive pickups and just gives a unique sound and vibe. So I love that as well.
That's absolutely the most important! I go back and forth between my LTD and RG. The RG Wizard neck actually fits my hands better but this particular model doesn't have the 'fast' neck like my LTD. If I could merge the 2, it'd be the perfect guitar!
Hello Sam pretty good much of a muchness the LTD and ESP probably slightly better only slightly but the LTD sounds best I reckon Or maybe it’s just what you’re playing can’t be sure Definitely the LTD and the ESP sound a bit better
Me (a total n00b interested in guitars) clicks this video and thinks _"they all sound the same."_ Real guitar aficionados would likely disagree. Very cool guitars though!! This guy can shred. Stay metal bro! \m/
Ranked personally, 3. Ltd deluxe, 2. Ibanez prestige, 1. ESP 7 E2. I mean EMGs sound just that, EMGs sound like EMGs as opposed to passive actually works with the character of the wood and amount of wood in a guitar, to me at least.
@@jasonstallworth I'm thinking that my next guitar 🎸 purchase will be a 7 string V style, I don't have a flying V yet but I shure like the way they look 🤗
No, it's not necessary. But understand that you're going to learn some theory by default as you progress. But I personally never dove deep into theory. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't learn theory. It helps many. But to me, I simply play what I feel and if it sounds good to me, I continue. If not, I change it.

Those ESPs sit very nice in the mix! And you can hear that exact Ibanez in the full mix on this album: www.jasonstallworth.com/music/heavy-metal-workout/
I can tell your very comfortable with the Ltd when you get there with the 7 it will be heaven for sure!
That Ibanez sounds awesome it has such a nice attack to it🤘
Man, I love that Ibanez!!
My own personal taste, I liked the ESP EII the most...Probably because of that low B on the seven.
It’s a beast!
Gr8 video & I love your Ibanez ... it sounds like it wants to rip someones head off 🤘
It's my favorite guitar and gets played the most!
@@jasonstallworth its got a gr8 distinctive crunch which i love... was wondering what type of pic u like and what thickness? Just wondering cuz im trying to pic like u because I like your style. Are u giving lessons by the way? Ive been playing for 40 years and im starting to suck
I can tell you were in a groove on this night, always so fun, it why we play. I think its apples to oranges comparing the 7. The LTD wins
🤘
Jason, your Ibanez is quite the tonal beast!!
Of course so is your ESP, HORIZON 7, the LTD sounded like it was running a high end rewards kind of kit, tone wise that is...
But brother, I am truly an amateur, purely going by ear... What pick-ups grace the Ibanez bro?
🤘
For the style your playing , that thrashy sound , the Ltd sounds the best IMO
The E2 is king tho just because .
Kultbot Custom shop I hear you in the EII...it’s just a monster!!
But the ESP got as only one 7 strings, that's a sneaky badass boost. 😋
Yes it is!!
The Ibanez and Ltd was awesome...both the pickup sounds strong and fitting for the notes n tunes in every of their task..imo the Esp was great too but if i were to pick ill pick Ibanez..or maybe ltd..idk
Yeah, that Ibanez has a very distinct sound! It's one I'll always keep!
I believe the exact version I have is not made anymore but there is a newer, white version very similar.
I liked the LTD best, gives more dirt to the tone and therefore had more character in my ear🤷♂️
Is it ok to put a 7string against 6strings? i mean the E-II definetly pretty cool machine but a bit out of the box...
That's a good question (6 vs 7). I was really just comparing the 3 main guitars I own! lol
That E-2 sounds and looks beautiful. My only guitar is Ibanez, but for sure im going ESP or LTD for the next one!
Ive only been playing for 4 months so probably not getting a new one untill i hit the 1 year mark, then get a new one to celebrate!
Stay safe!
Jorge Franco That’s a smart move! Play what you have for a year and then decide what you want next!
I'd say go for it and buy the guitar you want now. You're making progress much faster if you have no compromises in terms of playability.
I will be waiting
Ltd! But it’s Hard not to be biased since I have a Ltd m-1000 that I bought in 2010.
Dude they’re just solid metal guitars!
Man that ltd is beautiful. I wish i have the money.
You can find those LTDs used for a decent price...just look around at local stores or online
IDK man i have a thing for seven strings.. especially that E-ll sounds great.
🤘
Thx for the review, Which one has the best neck?
All 3 of these have awesome necks the ESPs are totally different from the Ibanez RG. I actually prefer those RH wizard necks as they are thinner with a wider fretboard. It really all depends on what you prefer though.
EMGs have their place but with this particular tone/EQ you have dialed they sound shrill and fizzy compared to the Ibanez passives. If it wasn’t for the low B chug of the 7 string it would suffer the same fate as the LTD. Good to have both tools in your arsenal!
The Ibanez definitely has a punch to it!
Jason is the best
🙏 🤘
I play the same kind of music but iam in a delema, should I go with a esp f-50 or a mh-17??
Dude I really have no clue. You really just have to play different guitars and see what works best for you
7 string riffs are killer!
🤘
LTD M1000 deluxe with the ablone all day every day and just as good as a ESP custom but 1/4 the price and i have one and i love it ,Its a Korean one and its up there with 4 figure guitars and has a clear bright tones and holds tune mostly and it shreds ,balances well annd looks great
It's indeed a solid guitar!
Dude… I like the LTD best in your hands… you just seem completely loose on that guitar. That said, all sounded great in their own way… imo
Yeah, that LTD is kinda like magic to me. It plays so effortlessly and I was jamming on it today. I'm getting ready to tune that to C# later this week and I'll have a video on that (make sure you're subscribed!)
Beer, guitars and sust 250….all a man could ever want
😅 🤘 🍺 💪
Why am I surprised by the tones coming from the Horizon!! Actually all of em!! Jason you really Wail bro' I think it's Ibanez no1. Horizon NO2. LTD no3 obviously... Your rig sounds great...
🤘
They both sound good for different reasons, but I think it would sound awesome to have the best of both somehow. I hate the tinny Ibanez sound, but love the punch of its low end. The ESP sounds much better from mid to high range, but lacks the intensity that I enjoy. I use an Ibanez right now, but only because it was on sale.
🤘
All three are awesome, but seem to be missing something. Maybe a fourth or fifth additional guitar added to the mix so we don't miss that specific tonal difference!! 🤘
I'd love to throw more in...but...these are the only 3 electrics I own right now lol!
I just starting to get familiar with everything to feel comfortable with what I am after. I referb firearms, so same skill set, and I get to fire off the guitars more often. Wife is still mildly irritated by cost, but that doesn't change much!! Lol!!
💪🤘
i own a esp e-11 m-11 a strictly 7 cobra ks that was owned by pat sheridan of fit for autopsy and an Ibanez rg 652 ahm and i find my self reaching for it the most to play. the feel of the guitars neck is like silk so comfortable to play and the tone is amazing and clear im running the dimarzio tone zone and the air norton in it and the guitar is amazing, dont get me wrong i do love my other guitars they have different purposes but just to sit and noodle around and practice i reach for the ibanez the quality of the build on it is amazing i cant say enough good shit about it lol
🤘
I just realized I had a Ibanez prestige, i bought it used, modded with EMG 81/85's and it was only $130. Only issue is fret buzz on the high E which is a simple job at a guitar tech.
I bet that's one amazing sounding guitar. Those EMGs make it brutal. I love their wizard necks.
@@jasonstallworth yeah it's amazing, especially for the price, all i need to do it get the truss rod figured out and i have a $800 guitar.
Yep, Elixirs on all 3. The 7 string doesn't really fit the comparison but I'm really just comparing the guitars I have in my studio!
Nice to see someone with a handsome skull like mine playing . A grownup!👍🏿
Yep we're grown now!
I prefer the tone of the Ibanez. Sounds clearer. Maybe its because of passive pickups, or maybe its a sign of Prestige quality, or both. If you had passives in the LTD, it might be a closer comparison.
Yeah I do like the sound from some passive pickups
Mr Jason, do you think that the esp Ltd arrow 1000 is a good guitar for shredding? Is it better than the Ibanez?
Dude it's really personal preference at the end of the day. Ive got reviews on both:
LTD M1000 Deluxe: ruclips.net/video/6puPdGfYGC8/видео.html
Ibanez RG1570: ruclips.net/video/kAovRh9z4yY/видео.html
If we take tone into consideration then its debatable between both guitars. But i have played most brands out there including the Esp and the Ibanez.I must say Ibanez is one guitar which has everything good overall. It never goes out if tune once you set it up unlike other guitar brands which have Floyd Rose system in them.
The Ibanez is my favorite...the neck fits my hands better than most other guitars
of the 6 strings I have to go with Ibanez, but that 7 string sounds brutal so I cant really rate that one.
I love ESP sound more then the others. He’s so unique.
Yeah that 7 string has a unique sound!
@@jasonstallworth ye, I’m buying a new electric guitar now
Ltd sounded a little bit better but not much. What’s most important is how the guitar feels in my hands, the rg fits like a glove to me.
I like all 3 guitars
Me (a total n00b interested in guitars) clicks this video and thinks _"they all sound the same."_ Real guitar aficionados would likely disagree.
Very cool guitars though!! This guy can shred. Stay metal bro! \m/
It's cool that you've picked up guitar! Yeah, the differences are subtle and also depending on your sound source you're hearing this on.
What pickups are in that Ibanez? I dig it.
Those are the stock V7, S1, and V8
Basic riff on good guitars sounds good
🙏 🤘
LTD. Bright and smooth. The others are too bassy for me 😏 looks best too.... however, I'm officially done with reverse headstocks 😄
🤘
I love the Ibanez man. I have a Les Paul ESP LTD EC100 red metallic it rips thru my Roland GP-8
🤘
I own 2 Ltd ,Ibanez & Jackson v and I think the Ltd’s blow the other ones away, and your Ltd sounds awesome and better than the rest to my ears 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Yeah dude, I hear you...that LTD has this punch that I don't get from any other guitar I've ever played
They all sounded good I like the esp and Ltd the best love them all
🤘
Ranked personally, 3. Ltd deluxe, 2. Ibanez prestige, 1. ESP 7 E2. I mean EMGs sound just that, EMGs sound like EMGs as opposed to passive actually works with the character of the wood and amount of wood in a guitar, to me at least.
🤘
My next guitar is definitely an ESP 😍
🤘
They all sound great, the 7 string just has a broader range of tone 🤘
Yeah you definitely get those beastly tones with the 7
@@jasonstallworth I'm thinking that my next guitar 🎸 purchase will be a 7 string V style, I don't have a flying V yet but I shure like the way they look 🤗
Hey Jason, do I need to learn music theory to play metal like you??
No, it's not necessary. But understand that you're going to learn some theory by default as you progress. But I personally never dove deep into theory. That doesn't mean that you shouldn't learn theory. It helps many. But to me, I simply play what I feel and if it sounds good to me, I continue. If not, I change it.
1:07 ESP
1:51 LTD
3:03 Ibanez
🤘
what's your all time fav guitar?
I’m getting ready for a custom Dean so that will be featured soon. But this is what I play the majority are of the time: ruclips.net/video/kAovRh9z4yY/видео.htmlsi=-95GdXmK4axobXv3
They ALL sounded good! 3 different tones across all 3 that was really good. The 7 string ESP sounded best to me. I have the 6 string variant of the same guitar. It is the easiest guitar to play I have ever had. That 1570 sounded really good. The LTD is a great value.
Yeah those LTD guitars are probably the best value in the price range!
