Speed Tree Climbing action at Hilux New Zealand Rural Games 2015

Watch some gravity-defying action from the 2015 NZ Speed Tree Climbing Trans-Tasman Championship in association with Husqvarna and Treetech. This is an unfamiliar sport to many but one which attracts dedicated arborists around the world. The event demands a head for heights, great agility and technical expertise. We hosted two disciplines at the 2015 Games - the ‘work climb’ featuring a different task at each ‘station’ and the ‘footlock’ where speed is king.
