@@ZD3974 Recent Hondas have frequent powertrain issues, transmission troubles, and power-operated systems have proven to be unreliable. On most charts they've lost 20 points in the last decade
270 degree twin plus DCT is a match made in heaven. Love it! 👍
They feel like hovercraft the way they just rip through terrain. Up and over anything, the tires are absolute monsters.
Honda should make a 1000R Sport Hybrid SH-AWD...
Hybrids are a thing of the past..car sales even reflect that. Plus that would be so heavy and expensive
@@codybehrens9788 The gas engine of the Talon only makes 104 horsepower. Compare that to the Acura RLX sport hybrid engine that makes 305 horsepower. Consider the fact that the RLX only has 73 electric horsepower. For a hybrid Talon to work, you'd only need 15 to 20 electric horsepower. The battery would be TINY, about the size of a small e-bike battery. The whole system would probably weigh less than 100 pounds, and the instant torque and EV capability would make up for it.
Lol comparing a car to a talon. Or you could add the honda certified turbo for an additional 60hp with probly only 10 extra pounds?
@@codybehrens9788 there is more to sh awd than just more power, it's about the power deliver and handling, cornering torque vectoring, etc. That's the whole point of the independent electric motors

I love my 2021 Talon but the air intake/filter is problematic. The tires throw dirt and dust directly into the air intake where it’s trapped until it goes through the air filter.
Most people only get between 75 to 100 miles between filter changes. They cost around $50 a pop so it’s expensive and inconvenient.
Lots of people are adding new snorkels and/or pre-filters to extend the life of the air filter.
Not a smart design to an otherwise great machine.

They definitely are not the best equipped in the SxS market but everything Honda does with Quality I could complain they don’t have diff locks, 32in tires, 3.0 Fox Podiums or the coolest steering wheel or best information screen, dual sheer brackets, or the fastest but it’s a Honda I can’t complain unless it lets me down
The only thing about this that would make me consider getting this instead of my can am maverick sport is that 6 speed paddle shifters

It's based on the africa twin but the heads are different and there is a much more aggressive cam profile.
They needed to keep it under 1,000cc’s.
