I did that trip twice back in the late 1960s in a 19’ Aquasport with only a compass. Then I moved up to a 21’ twin inboard/outboard that we would go over to Bimini for just the day. Never heard of a GPS!

That now rest bracket is gonna damage the gelcoat upon loading. Be careful lining it up

Subscribed. Interested in watching your trip. Also I watched a few other videos, we have much of the same Garmin equipment although I have only half currently installed. What are you using to get the AIS info Is it just receiving or can you transmit too? My boat is in Tarpon Springs. Thanks for the great videos.

Thank you for watching my videos! The AIS information comes over NEMA network from my Standard Horizon VHF radio. I can receive only, no transmit with my current setup however it is in my long-term plans to add a 2nd VHF antenna with AIS transmit at some point.

Thanks for your videos. I hope you can give us an update about the zero breeze. I have a similar boat and I’m trying to do a semi-permanent setup with a zero breeze, an elechive and a solar panel

Sure thing! I had a follow up on the zero breeze in a few of my other videos where we did overnight stays. We use it all the time and have been very happy with it. I used it in Key West on the Tortugas video and also the Caladesi in Island overnight trip if you want to check out those videos.

@@floridaboatguy man I’ve seen all your videos! 🤣 I was just wondering if you have tried to set it inside the cabin along with the power station… I know you kept the power station outside the cabin in one of your videos

@@David-dl3lf you know I’ve been staying at marinas the last few trips once I installed the AC power panel and inlet. This time of year you really need to run the AC on strong mode which takes more power…the power station only handles about 6 hours at that setting. I would really like to install a larger 200ah lithium battery bank with inverter as that would be a better long term solution. Do not hesitate to let me know if you have any other specific questions!

Wish I was out there with you. I wonder why your depth sounder couldn't hit bottom. It didn't look to be over range.

I was surprised as well! My transducer has an advertised range of 1500’ so really not sure why it would not read much past 500’
