@@v.c.nguyen590 @Alex after a stressful event (defined as physical things like surgery/trauma/major illness/after childbirth AND also emotional stress), your hair can fall out. it's called telogen effluvium. normally your hair grows in organized phases (parts of a cycle) of growth/rest, but in telogen effluvium your hair spends a little too long in the telogen, or.rest, phase, and the hair follicles in that rest phase fall out.
generally your hair will grow back after some time or, if a condition contributing to the hair loss is present, with correction of that underlying condition. it's easily diagnosed and recognizable when compared to other types of hair loss so if this worries you i would recommend speaking with your doctor beforehand if you want and definitely afterwards if you start to notice hair loss.
also for completeness: telogen effluvium can also be caused by hormonal imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, some medications, autoimmune conditions, and infectious disease.
tl;dr it's common and treatable, so please speak to a medical professional if you have concerns!

As an esthetician, at least in my state, we cannot administer Botox. It's considered a cosmetic procedure and must be administered by a licensed medical professional. I can't believe that woman is giving her daughter Botox injections. She's way too young for that, I can't even wax someone's eyebrows if they're under 10, so the idea of giving a literal child Botox is horrifying to me. Also I feel bad for that girl who got all that surgery that young. Your physical appearance shouldn’t need to change, and no one should insult you or encourage you to change your body. It’s yours and it comes from your parents/family; your features are what make you unique. Maybe they have insecurities about large noses, but it’s not fair to take that out on you or push you to get surgery- especially not when you’re so young. Your nose should be accepted and even appreciated, not ridiculed and altered to become something different that doesn’t belong to you/match you/reflect who you are and where you come from. I hope both you and your family will come to embrace your nose and celebrate who you are.

Speaking of this girl, I actually did some research on her on the Chinese part of the internet.
First of all, she's not really an influencer. The only influence she has is getting people to diss her in the comments of various videos and comments sections I saw.
I couldn't find any channels by her anywhere, so I'm guessing that it has been taken down.
Here's an excerpt from an article that I found. Note that because this article was written in article format, it is far kinder and attempts to be more neutral than the actual reaction of most Chinese people's.
"Many years ago, a 13-year-old girl caused a lot of heated discussion on the Internet because of her plastic surgery, and her appalling behavior also taught the majority of netizens a lesson.
The 13-year-old girl named Nana has a wealthy family. Under the influence of her mother, she is more concerned about her appearance since she was a child. Before her plastic surgery, although her appearance was not stunning, she also had the purity and generosity of a young girl, which can never be described as ugly.
Later, at a young age, she was not satisfied with her appearance, so she had the idea of plastic surgery. Because her parents were fond of her since she was a child, when she had this idea, she did not obstruct it, and even supported her.
From the whole eye to the whole face, in 3 years, a total of 60 times before and after, costing nearly one million yuan. During the period, she also shared her plastic surgery process and experience on the online platform, and gradually became a small Internet celebrity.
Because of her plastic surgery, she was criticized and ridiculed by her peers. Not only did she drop out of school at the age when she should have received education, but she also frequently traveled to various places for post-operative recovery and endured post-operative physical pain.
This kind of physical and psychological torture, as well as the sequelae caused by multiple operations, Nana fully accepted and said that it was worth it, and she did not regret it and enjoyed it. Even more obsessed and confident about her appearance after plastic surgery.
Now she has a pair of overly large eyes, a straight nose, and a pointed chin, just like a Barbie face. Compared with the past, there is no trace of the original.
Let's not talk about whether this face is really good-looking, but it is definitely not harmonious. It is estimated that even the most basic facial expressions cannot be made smooth and natural."

In fact, China and Japan don’t have these pressures, nor is plastic surgery popular, supported, or even liked in China.
People often misunderstand proportions in regards to China solely because of the sheer scale of the population. As such, things that seem widespread are actually very small on the scale of things.
Looks are not the key focus in Chinese society; grades and education are far more important.

in my country it's illegal to administer Botox to a person under the age of 18. the person who administered the Botox would loose their license and get a fine. if it was administered by the parent, the parent would be under investigation by the state ... seeing the parent talk so freely and positively about a crime and child abuse is so wild to me.

This just occurred to me about all the treatments and surgeries for K-pop trainees (12.40 mark). Given that the trainees will have contractual obligations to repay the cost of their traineeship I wouldn't be surprised if the corporations involved in the industry add them in to inflate the costs accrued by the kids. There's a reason they're called slave contracts.

Honestly speaking here, I was that normal looking like her (pre-surgery). She was not ugly, just normal looking girl. Anyways, When I get to my 20, even a stranger( Both men & women) come up to me and tell me I was beautiful. A friend from my childhood told me, “Wow you have changed” Ugly ducking situation. Also, I did get some minor bullying at school. I think it is normal part of life. As adult, people use different tactic. People attack other because they jealous, want to be a big shot, etc… Anyways, her parents walked this life, they should of help her through this bump and help her grow naturally. We can’t choose what we experienced, but we can choose how to react to them.

I lived in the "West" and I lived and currently live in Asia and strangers do "examine" your look, give you their unsolicited opinions and suggestions. It's something I'm working on to ignore, because it's not everything and shouldn't be that important.
Physically and visually, what's important is that I take care of myself by eating well, exercising, taking care of my mental health and groom myself well, making sure I'm clean and orderly. That's supposed to be it, isn't it? It's also really interesting that people do remember me/treat me kindly because, supposedly, I am rather "good looking" because I have long thick hair, arguably even face, and slim body as a (young looking) woman.
I have my (visual) bias, too, because people do have appearance and I consume media just like everyone else. I continuously work to remind myself to be mindful and remember that looks aren't everything.

The first time I heard about plastic surgery was when I was about 10. I'm someone who is Chinese and born with double eyelids, which every member of my family has as well, and I remember a white classmate of mine asking me how I got eyelids and whether I got surgery to get them, and I looked at her so confused and said "What do you mean? Surgery? No, I've always had double eyelids. Am I not supposed to?".

The one thing I was consistently bullied for during the whole of my school life was my appearance. I’m only 22 years old now but after experiencing being told I’m ugly for the majority of my life no matter how much work I do with my mindset I don’t think I’ll ever truly think I’m anything more than ugly

Had same situation like you in a past. Still sometimes avoid myself in the mirror. Was called ugly and fat, developed ED, its truly hard battle because I still tend to relapse. Now I am 32, look the same as I looked when i was 16 (i stopped developing when I was 13-14 due to ED and my looks just froze in time), but despite complements about my looks now, I still remember beeing bullied by same looks and its kinda hard to believe I am beautiful. Hope one day you heal from this traumatic experience because you look absolotely breathtaking. And hope one day will come that you will actually feel it. I wait for this day also. And I wish you the best ♡

I was in a beauty pageant once, and me and my mom got so pissed off because the girl who won 1st place in the talent section had the same exact score as me, but did a cute little dance in a crop top. (I’m not mad at her I’m mad at the judges because we were like 11) I memorized a classical piano piece and performed it, by memory. I’d have to go way back to old photos to see which song I played, but it might have been Invention number 1 by Bach? I know I played that piece at some point around that age.

I feel what she feels. When I was still in elementary school, around the age of 8-10 years old, it was how it seemed to me that I was openly rejected by my environment, people made fun of my curly hair, my dark skin and often got by sunshine. At that moment I realized that in order to be accepted, be like everyone else. Totally different from how my half Caucasian siblings come to visit, they are always welcomed better than the others. Until now, all of that still makes an impression and traumatizes me, I'm still very insecure about my appearance even though I don't really care about my skin anymore. I'm 33 now.

I remember when I was a kid between 6 or 7 when I started hearing my own family telling me to get rhinoplasty when I grow up. My brother would also pinch my nose and tease me, calling my nose "flat" and "chubby". It made me hate my nose. I feel embarrassed and insecure to the point that there are times I wouldn't look at people directly when I'm having a conversation.
Anyway I'm 27 now and I still have my "flat" and "chubby" nose lol. I still have love and hate relationship with it , but I like it way better now. Also I pierced it and made my nose way cuter if I say so myself ! 😂. If I ever have my own kid ( and that's a big IF lol ) I would try my best to be a better person and wouldn't let my kid feel embarrassed and insecure for something beautiful and functional just like my "flat" and "chubby" nose. ❤️
