Randle is fools gold.. his numbers are inflated & he will be exposed in the western conference.. he never produced in the playoffs and he’s injury prone as of late.. the Knicks were lucky Minnesota was foolish enough to do this deal.
Horrible take. Divincenzo is 6th man of the year and incredibly solid all around, a 1st round pick from Detroit, and Randle doing whatever it is he'll do is STEAL for the wolves. Big Kat doesn't play D and is soft as hell. No one's winning with him and his contract.
KAT is better but similar in that aspect, overpaid and inconsistent in the playoffs. Divincenzo is the difference maker for me, he was awesome the final stretch for NY and averaged 23 in the 2nd round on 46% from deep... Under contract for 4 yrs only 11-12 mil
MIN was essentially paying 3 Players Super Max Money and with the New CBA, that is not Sustainable unless You’re a BOS and on a Championship Run. Randle makes 20 Mil less than KAT and if Randle isn’t a Good Fit or wants too much Money on an Extension, MIN can trade His Expiring Contract next year along with also trading Gobert’s expiring Contract so, They can get another Super 🌟 Star and/or 2-4 Role Players.
Kat is highly paid for a player that doesn’t have the extra gear in the playoffs. Yeah, same can be said about Randle but the Wolves do still have Naz Reid which they will rotate. The Wolves will still make it far in the playoffs after this trade. They have a great starting 5 and depth with young and upcoming players
Randle is coming off two serious injuries. He’s a selfish player who is bad with the ball on the floor, prone to turnovers, has questionable shot selection and is not a great defender. Plus he hasn’t delivered in the playoffs the last two times. Randle’s style does not fit this iteration of the Knicks and he’s due for a big contract extension. I will miss DeVincenzo, but he wasn’t a starter, his play was erratic in the playoffs and he was prone to committing stupid fouls. I liked him anyway, but he really was expendable. Time for Deuce McBride to step up with Cam Payne and Tyler Kolek behind him. I really like this deal, which solves the biggest issue the Knicks have. The preseason games should be fun to watch, to see how everyone fits together.
