It’s odd how Temuera Morrison did voice overs for the 501st Journal but not for the clones themselves in BF2 😆, with republic commando he only voiced Boss and not Scorch, Sev and Fixer, but that was more of a creative choice to make them unique
I think the first game had more fun gameplay and it mostly comes down to two things: Better splash damage and slower movement speed. You actually wanted to fight for those damn spawn points when you couldn't sprint from one side of the map to the other in 30 seconds. And as far as splash damage goes it made certain classes more viable (maybe even a bit too viable) Additionally the vehicles for the most part felt better in 1. They had some real weight to them and you could mow down enemies with the crazy splash damage. The third person camera view was pretty bad on most of them, but maybe that's intentional so you didn't have perfect view of your surroundings.
Number 2 takes the win for me because of space combat(which i love to borderline creepy levels), but 1 is damn close because of how ground maps have air vehicles so the feel of full scale battles is a bit better.
I think you hit the nail on the head for why BF1 and 2 are good for different reasons. BF1 is the more immersive maps BF2 is the competitive ones with even more features to chew on both competitive and offline. You have fun with both nonetheless
I am noticing something and I wanted to ask for insight on it, in the original BF1 at least on PlayStation, heroes were able to deflect most weapon shots with their lightsabers. I’m not really noticing that on PC versions or the new classic addition.
given the opportunity i'm sure the devs would have really liked to give everything a first-person view, but as it is they added like... a dozen? or so? new vehicles? and i would assume they'd have to fiddle around with first-person cameras as well that would have to be put in a position where they don't clip inside the model without being wonky. that's totes fine, first-person views would have been great but we didn't get them. hoth is definitely something i can understand and respect if you're playing solo but since this game was smashed together to take advantage of online play, balance needs to be considered a bit more seriously. like, in the first game they had destroyable command posts and in the second they don't, and because ATATs count as command posts you need to make sure that both sides start with the same number of command posts or the reinforcement counter will immediately start ticking down given that the shield jenny cannot be destroyed on hoth and they replaced it with a command post you can capture, they blocked off the routes between the two command posts so they could push more of the action outside and increase travel time between posts. this means the empire can compensate for their ATATs being destroyed and the Rebels aren't immediately wrecked when the ATATs reach echo base that final command post - the one that they took out - would have been to limit the number of command posts so that losing ATATs wouldn't be as impactful to the empire and so that the rebels could defend echo base easier and that the empire could capture and hold that post better like, the original hoth is so rebel-sided and heavily discourages the tug-of-war gameplay that the game mode is supposed to have. the original hoth was amazingly cinematic but for a fair and balanced online game they did not make
I find that the 1st one is overall a better game maps feel much bigger in 1 than 2, bf2 also had alot more close quarter maps than open ones + no air vehicles outside of space (i know mods can do that but i am talking about vanilla) I also prefer the classes in bf1 (too bad they cutted the officer class) and i find the gameplay is also better (prone, side rolling, CP loosing reinforcement system...), the AI behavior is also much better, it rly feels like they play like it was a siege, while in 2 they just try to kill you without aiming correctly The HUD too, the one in the first game look much better than the one in the second, in the second game the reticle is way too big and the HUD just feel less immersive to me What i prefer from BF2 are weaker vehicles (some are a bit OP in the 1st one xd) and ofc the new games modes The best would be to have BF1 gameplay and feel with the new game modes and playable heroes from 2 (also a basic deathmatch mode would be great)
@@CuddlyJay that’s my opinion I’m a third person shooter in call of duty that’s different it’s always first person shooter Games so Star Wars battlefront Games third person shooter for me

I’m almost thinking you should get your eyes checked if you think that Battlefront 1 looks graphically better than 2 but it’s your opinion and I can kind of understand where you’re coming from.
Looks better how? Are you talking about the way it looks in comparison to the movies or what because I don’t think the first one had good graphics, I mean they were great for the time it came out but nowadays it looks dated most certainly.
@@masterdest326 True it is subjective, depends on how you like your lighting. BF2 comes off as less polished than the first in this regard, but the gameplay is far superior imho.

BF1 gets boring after a while tbh. BF2 has more content

Those space battles are amazing!
An AT-ST also spawns if you capture that CP for the Empire on Mos Eisley.
OMG! I totally forgot 🤣
The AI in the first one was way better than the second one
Ikr in BF2 even on Elite difficulty they are total push overs while in BF1 Hard difficulty is genuinely hard

BF 1 is superior in every way ☺️
The maps were soooo Goated in BF1. I pretty much hate every new BF2 map. I miss how I’m BF1 it actually had color. BF2 was so faded.
I stand with 1 & because I'm 27 y/o now,so I grew up on BF1.
Yeah same I grew up with both but I played Bf1 way more and always thought it looked much better and cooler when I was a young lad

Why are all you BF1 fanboys so toxic?

@masterdest326 1 had objectively better and moodier lighting. 2 feels colder and darker. 2 has better textures for troopers, vehciles etc.
