This yeast roll recipe is a favorite amongst my entire family. My grandma Barb has been making these rolls for as long as I can remember. The entire family makes some form of this yeast roll, changing things here and there to make it our own. It’s such a forgiving yeast roll recipe with a pillowy soft crumb, subtle sweetness and mild buttery flavor. It’s perfect for after-Thanksgiving turkey sliders!

I'm a Grandma myself and I've never seen anyone make yeast rolls this way so, it's never too late to learn something new! Guess what? I am making these for Thanksgiving and can't wait till my family tastes them. I love your videos and will continue watching! Keep on with that happy voice and enthusiasm!!! Both my grandma's were great cooks, i miss them every day & i realize with folks compliments their cooking rubbed off on me. their both passed on now. You sound like a grandma too. Happy Holidays.

Long time subbie here! I have good memory of your older yeast rolls recipe. I made them years ago for my grandfather for the holidays. He LOVED them. I was soooo proud. He’s passed on but this video brought that memory back! Thank you so much for sharing ❤️❤️❤️

I made a vegan version of these and there Good...OMG I was afraid they weren't going to turn out right but my family love them. Thank u, I substitute milk for Cashew milk, the egg for egg replacer, I used unbleached flour & vegan no soy butter and made my own buttermilk with Cashew milk and ACV but u can use lemon juice.

These rolls came out really good. Just like you said, the recipe is so forgiving. Even though I thought I had over kneaded it, I didn’t and they came out so light and fluffy. I didn’t baste the rolls with melted butter and they still came out great. I also used half ghee and half shortening. Thanks for sharing!

Mo you’re the 🐐, queen! I’ve made these rolls relentlessly since two months ago & they’re a hit every time. My family told me these are as good as the recipe my grandma & aunt used to make, as they were the only two who knew the recipe, thanks for allowing me to bring my fam those memories back!
Sidenote* This is a sticky dough, but that’s a good thing! Careful adding that extra flour, one of my baking experts says not being careful w/ that extra flour can make the rolls dry, so sometimes sticky is good, that means moisture, and they’ll rise easier!
Also, make sure you’re using the correct yeast! Active dry & Rapid Rise are not the same, and will produce different results! For this recipe, make sure you use active dry yeast!

You even fold the way my grandma used to. I will be definitely using this recipe for my rolls next time. I can cook but never was much of a baker.
