    Great video as always! I ABSOLUTELY cannot wait for the 1.0 drop to go CoF and get some crazy drops. Even with thousands of hours, my biggest problem with PoE has been the fact that progression is centered around trade. This faction system seems to be the best way to appease both crowds

      I agree! I’m hoping this goes well and it truly pushes trade in the genre forward a bit. It would be awesome to have a balanced economy around farming and trade, and not one or the other.

    It's definitely a fascinating attempt to answer the issues of both types of player, the ones that want to find it themselves and the ones that want to play the markets.

    Well, this proposition is certainly interesting. I wasn't a fan of the POE trade system, even though i never went ssf. But the POE ssf seems to be different than what Last Epoch proposes with those farming bonuses. I might try that since I don't really enjoy spending time to message various vendors (players), although I've noticed that they also changed that, in the sense that it will be some sort of auction house, more akin to the WoW trading system, not the POE one where you have to message players to buy stuff. Honestly, I like both and I will probably try them both. If I can get the hang of crafting, I think I might enjoy the ssf one better.

      Yeah I think it’s really important what they are doing for farming with the circle of fortune. Because it makes it so trading isn’t the meta that everyone is forced to take part in or they are at a huge disadvantage. Also makes it so EHG doesn’t have to develop the game around trade as a central mechanic.

      @@AllTradesJackReviews No offense, but that's just catering to an inferiority complex of anti-trade players who want handouts and bonuses to put them on par with trade optimization. Trade is naturally more efficient and that's not exclusive to games. That's a fact of life everyone enjoys everyday. People don't have to find their own food, make their own clothes, build their own housing, etc... They simply can become proficient in one role, get paid for doing that job, and then exchange that currency for things they can't do or find themselves. SSF is therefore naturally the challenge of working only with what one can do and find themselves. The survivalist mode.
      So in reality LE is taking a big risk here because they are undermining the challenge of SSF and the viability of their own game economy.

      @@arcc4 true, in the real world, that makes sense. Because in the real world, the challenge of living is usually enough challenge for most people. You could technically go out into the wilderness and be SSF but that’s incredibly difficult and humans have not evolved to do that xD but in a game where you can choose to do what you want, and your character is plenty capable to do both SSF and Trade, I think a third option should exist. I think SSF doesn’t include the circle of fortune. The circle of fortune still allows you to group and trade with friends. It gives you benefits for trying to go off on your own, but it doesn’t force you to do anything. I think SSF forces you to be alone. No trade, no groups, no help.
      Overall, i agree with you. I don’t think circle of fortune can replace true SSF. If you choose SSF, You should be playing without the benefit of targeted farming bonuses. I think the circle of fortune is for normal play, where you want to enhance your farming because you want to work for your items instead of trading for them immediately.
      But I don’t think that having the circle of fortune automatically diminishes the accomplishment of SSF. I guess it will depend on how EHG handles it though!

      @@arcc4 Real life isn't a game though, games are more about what's fun than efficient. The devs are trying to make it so people can play the way they want without feeling like they are missing out on efficiency.

    I just wish the Devs gave a shit about its players. I reported an issue daily for about a week - not a single piece of feedback. I tried several Discord channels where the only replies were "Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling?" or other similar, amateur-esque bullshit. I anticipated these types of "have you tried turning it off and on again?" suggestions, so I did everything possible to test and troubleshoot beforehand. Tried all the forum posts with similar issues - nada.
    My issue is that I cannot play any of my offline characters (which was all of them) - tested online ones and they work fine, but all my loot, characters, etc - gone. Hundreds of hours of gameplay practically behind a virtual wall, and no one at EHG cares. If it were possible, I'd ask for a refund, but it's too late now...Never trusting these vultures again!

      I think thats fair! to me, it seems good on paper but I agree, I think we won’t really know how it’ll play out until it opens up to the masses. The casual and drop in players will have a chance to take part in it and that will tell us how the general population engages in trade and farming.

    Trade guild seems objectively worse than the other one. Even if you like trade i feel most will still pick the option to have better items.

    • @AllTradesJackReviews
      @AllTradesJackReviews  9 месяцев назад

      It’s going to be interesting how they balance the two. Like I wonder how easy/hard it will be to find the more powerful items with the Circle of Fortune. I hope there is still a grind or else trade will just mean you have less powerful characters. But I guess we will see, because there still will be benefits to trade obviously, like convenience and the fun of playing the economy.
