He speaks English, and sometimes he does pause or skip a few things, but when he speaks, you can hear the passion wanting to burst out. I love that. Hope to come to Barcelona one day.
El Tomás, timeless classic. My grandfather used to go there with my father when he was little, my father brought me there since I was a kid, and if I have kids I will make sure they try the Tomás' bravas too. Best in the city, almost unrivaled.
I thought it was overrated until I found myself ordering one every time I went to the bar. It's addictive trust me! [PS - €3 for a single portion of olive oil fried patatas...I'm sold even more]
I always get on well with Catalans and Spanish. Respect, politeness and some humour and you will get it back 10x. They are so patient with tourists. I think Irish people get on with Southern Europeans a lot. We really like to enjoy life.. and party
We were just there today. It was a trek from our accomodation BUT … every tapas was excellent. The bravas was excellent. Service excellent. Well worth the effort.

just saying you should have done this video in madrid; just because its a traditional madrid tapa, in barcelona they are made different, both good, but nontheless different.
Just looks like a normal thing I can get at a fish and chips shop in England for quite cheap. Chip shop Curry sauce, mayonnaise or tomato ketchup on top of the chips with salt and vinegar. It’s a larger potion than what this place does. But still looks like a delicious snack.
That's actually not true. If you are going to be a sheep and just follow the news, you'll be being one of those millions of idiot who have no idea. Locals do want tourists but want you to stay in Hotels and not Airbnbs. Spend your money on local restaurants not Mcdonald's, Hardrock Cafe, KFC or Nobu. Don't do stupid shit like standing in the middle of a busy street to take selfies or placing your phone on the escalator to film yourself coming out of a metro station in Sagarada Familia. Read a little bit. It'll make sense.

@afghanica you might want to do some research on the bioavailability of plant based protein. Not to mention how terrible tofu farming is for the planet.

I’m Scots/Irish and I base a Spanish restaurant on their patatas bravas. I know a tattie when I see one.
Do it well, do it good.
I agree. If you can't do a proper chip/fry, then what are you even doing as a restaurant? Such a good litmus test.

Luka Doncic in offseason mode
The best patas bravas I had in Barcelona was at a restaurant at a place called Salút

The only downside is, if the locals would see you eating this - they'd probably protest, might throw a bucket of water on you, and ask you to leave

yo, why they blur Toni's name on the shirt? Is it possible that that's not Toni? They just had Luis that only speaks English?
