He's been "prayed over" more often than any performer in American popular music history, I bet, including those who moved to soul music from gospel music, including AREYHA FRANKLIN and SAM COOKE. His parents and his father's congregants and the sociometries represened there, I bet, prayed for SLY's success and SLY's mental, physical and social well being before during and after WOODSTOCK. GOD SAVES.

" Sly & The Family Stone" remains, my most favorite band in 12-09--2021, Your music transcend to the stratosphere. It makes, me believe " all things are possible". There are other great musicians, but ,the can not touch you .

Sly & The Family Stone released one of the best albums from 1969 “Stand” which included this song, as well as Everyday People and I Want To Take You Higher, Sing a Simple Song; to me it was their greatest hits album 💯% Unfortunately, Sly went through some tough times after his release of 10 studio albums😢 😢😢😢

When I was a toddler in Brooklyn, NY, in the early 1980s, I liked to listen to this and other R&B songs on the radio, 98.7 KISS FM(R&B Music) and WCBS FM, 101.1 -they played the hit songs from different genres.
