He always looked like he was giving everything he had while running. I don’t think we will ever get one like him again.

Mack Brown told him while recruiting that he would be the 3rd rb on depth chart. Absolutely couldn't start due to Cedric Benson being his #1. Adrian's freshman year against Texas he rushed for 225 yds and got the win.

He was absolutely capable of making an NFL roster out of high school. I was a senior in HS when he was a freshman at OU. I remember how much hype he got, and exceeded it. I always said he was what I imagined Jim Brown looked like. Imagine being a high school football player...you know the million of us that just played HS ball and some college, maybe. Imagine attempting to tackle this guy in HS or college. Unreal.

Did television really use to look that bad? I do not remember it being that grainy.

Never had a bit of wasted energy in his running style.

  • @ARespectableMan

This guy in his prime is the most impressive running back I’ve ever seen.

Adrian Peterson was probably the most complete college RB. Between the power, speed, agility, and vision. Injury was the only thing to stop him.

It's not like Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson, and Eric Dickerson played college football........ Oh wait 🤔

Dude was incredible. Strong as hell, fast as hell and he ran angry. Everytime he ran he felt like it was personal that any human could possibly take him down.

This is proof some players should be able to go straight to the league.

He completed Marcus Duprees legacy at OU! If anyone knows who that is. 😂

Die hard Vikings fan here, watched almost every single one of his professional games and runs. It's amazing to watch his college highlights because he never changed his running style. Absolutely one of the best ever, professional and college alike. Spectacular and glad I found this video to relive his collegiate career. All Day!

I am not an Oklahoma Sooners fan but I watched every game he played in college and like pretty much everyone else I knew he was going to be a special player for a long time. I remember watching the 2007 nfl draft as a teenager and immediately becoming a Vikings fan and hoping that he would spend his whole career here. Best wishes to AD and Skol Vikings!

I remember being in awe the first time I saw him back in 04. There is no other player in CFB in the last 20 years that I can think of that stood out like him. Just so enormously talented he could of probably went straight from Palestine HS to the NFL.

There are some guys that you see play early on and you say to yourself that barring injury or them doing something to derail their careers, they are can't miss prospects. AD was one of them for me. When I saw him in the high school All-American game I knew he was can't miss. That man ran like his hair was on fire and his life depended on it. He ran with very bad intentions. One of the best backs I've ever seen in my 47 years of living.
