You are a good son, Carlos. Many of us are dealing with this same issue as well as helping with our grandchildren. It's not easy. Your parents raised a good son. It is also heart-warming to see you and Arne and how much you care for each other. Sending you both lots of love.
Oh Carlos, I am so sorry to hear about your Mom. Please never apologize for taking care of your parents. We all understand. Dealing with elderly parents can be hard. We will always be here whenever you return. I am sending much love and light from Los Angeles, CA. Both you and Arne take care of each other and be well.
Arne, you have so much fun with your dolls and making them clothes. You just light up. Both of you were so much fun in this video. There was so much interesting information coming from the two of you. Very enjoyable.
My grandmother passed away 22 years ago. She had alzheimer's disease for the last 5 years of her life. It was hard to see such a vibrant, talkative woman slowly fade away into a person who became almost silent and the spark was gone. The visits were difficult, but i wanted her to have a familiar face to see at every visit. Toward the end, i would sit next to her and hold her hand and talk to her even though she didn't know me anymore. I am glad i could be there for her until she died. My heart and best wishes go out to Carlos. Hope you get a few more years to share with your mom.
Another enjoyable video with the two of you. Carlos, I hope your mother is holding her own with her illness. You are such a good son to recognize and do all of the extra things that a mother loves from her children. You will have good memories from all of those visits. My mother is 97 and I go visit her often and I am so blessed to still have her with relative good health except for her vision. The sweater that the two of you purchased on your trip is so gorgeous and I bet the store owners appreciated it. It is so nice to try to support small business owners, especially in these times we are living in. Happy everything to the two of you………………
Prayers for your mother, Carlos, and for you and your family also. 🙏🏻 Enjoyed hearing about all of your adventures on the cruise. I wish I could accomplish all of the knitting Arne gets done! I haven't found the time to get back to my knitting since I moved two weeks ago. You always motivate me to try to keep going. Big hugs for you both and sweet, little Freja too! Have a great week! ❤🤗😘
Glad to see you back !Sorry to hear that your mom isn’t doing well, Carlos. The journey with aging parents is both challenging and heartbreaking. Fortunately, you’ll have Arne by your side - what a blessing to have been apart only 7 times in 23 years!
SUCH a joy to spend time with you both again today after months away; thank you for a wonderful episode full of updates, creative inspiration, and genuine sharing; I have a smile on my face now. :) Yes, it is so difficult dealing with ageing parents, but you are doing it with grace and a loving heart, Carlos. Thank you for the travel tales - I did enjoy those - and have a fabulous time in Japan!
Thanx a lot for this inspiring episode! So glad you are back with SAKFABOS ! Your support for each other is a example ❤ and will get you through this uncertain and sad times with your parents, Carlos.
Arne, right before the pandemic, I saw you working on your scrapbooks in the garden using a sewing machine. That did it for me and now I have many many junk journals that have unleashed a creative spirit I never knew was there. Thank you and Carlos for your wonderful channel and keeping us inspired .
I’m glad you are back with your exceptional podcast. I always enjoy them. Carlos I know just what you must be feeling. It was like that with my mother too and every visit not knowing if it would be the last. It was almost unbearable. She was in England and I had to travel from the US where I live to visit her. Sending a big Norwegian bear hug to you and Arne and prayers for your mother.
Carlos it is a very sad time but also you are privileged having your parents still with you. Blessings & love to you. Wonderful to see your love for each other. 🙏❤️❤️
Very sorry about your momma. The world is a small place. A friend from Dodgeville, Wisconsin went into a knit shop and owner came on your cruise this year. She said such a great event and the best time meeting and spending time with Arne and Carlos! I live in South Carolina!
Yay!!! I’m excited about your new Regia sock designs! Advent sounds like fun too! I’m looking forward to it. I always enjoy your sit and knit videos so thank you both for them. 💕

So glad to see you both. What is it like to be famous. Lol. People are like - hey I know those guys !!! 🎉. I love those dolls. I love the knitted doll outfits. Beautiful.
Glad you are home safe and sound... sitting and knitting on this Sunday! I hope you are feeling better from your icy lagoon walk Arne. Carlos, thank you for the Knitting tip about steeking! I am going to go find a cheap sweater and try it. This winter, I am planning to knit Hélène Magnusson's Icebreaker sweater... and this tip will help me be brave... and steek!!

So happy to have you back! Blessings to your mom, Carlos. Hope you both are able to spend as much time as possible with your families. Take care. Thank you for sharing. 🥰 And we are soooo looking forward to the Advent calendar!!! Woot, woot!!
I would love to go to the Faroe islands. It's on my list. I love the sweater too. Carlos, I'm so sorry to hear about your mom. You are both so sweet with being together almost all the time! No bus in husevik!? So funny. SOunds like a fishing contest I heard about where they had a winner but "no fish were caught"?! this episode has so many great things in it. Thank you.
Carlos wshing your mother good health and sending warmest thoughts to your Father, you and Arne. I know exactly what you mean about being separated. My husband and I have been together since July 1996 and hated being apart. Thankfully we no longer have to do this but when my husband was taken into hospital during Covid and I was not allowed to go with him or visit him it felt absolutely horrendous. We have worked together 24/7 since 1996 and as you say Arne you do not feel complete unless your other half is there with you. It would be absolutely marvellous if you could please do something similar to the lecture you were talking about. The history would be fascinating. Take care and good wishes to you both.
Great episode boys. I absolutely love all the Blythe makes, I really hope you share the patterns with me. I’m going to watch this episode again, when I’ve got less distractions around me. Have fun in Japan. Carlos, your Blythe is what they call an Icy Blythe. I can’t wait to see what you buy.
Love your doll sweaters and dresses. And your new Blythe from your Canadian friends, who I may have met in Italy. Sending good wishes to you for your Mom, Carlos.
How fun to listen to all of your chatting about your lives! I really enjoyed this! Sending many blessings to you two and your parents. I was my mother's caretaker, so I appreciate all the love and generosity that you are putting into helping your parents live their last years well and comfortably. I know you assume that this caring you give is just a part of being family, but please be proud of yourselves. The world is full of people who cannot do it. Many blessings!
So lovely to have Sit and Knit back for a Sunday. I'm a fan of a Baumserclem (apologies for spelling) I'm going to give them to my whole family today xx take care
Thrilled to see you two here - for us older retired widows - all of the new financial signups aren’t possible. Oh sorry to hear about your Mother - what a terrible experience for you both - my son and family just came back from Sweden - Hubby and I have been and loved seeing his heritage. Your Mom most important - 🙏 she continues to improve - anyway, love you two and glad to see you back.
This was such a touching episode. The Man About the Place and I are often invited to Girls or Guys weekends. We don’t accept because we simply would rather be together. Our parents are also going through similar issues. Thank you for sharing.
Loving all the gorgeous doll knits! I really must finish of the Arne & Carlos knitted doll that I started a while back. I’m looking forward to the Christmas advent adventures too! Big bjørneklem to you both!
I really enjoyed this episode. In a way it's nice when you do fewer. It gives us something to look forward to ("absence makes the heart grow fonder"--does that expression exist in Norwegian?) My heart goes out to Carlos as he faces a difficult time with his mother. Your relationship reminds of mine with my husband. We were both easily amused by small things. And in the thirty years we had together, we were only apart a handful of times as well. Your next episode will air on the third anniversary of his passing. I will be extra grateful for your love and friendship on that day. Cruising with you was the biggest thing I have done on my own since losing him, and it helped me realize I can still have fun, so thank you.❤

So happy to have you back again. Your conversations are so enjoyable and informative, and nice and relaxing as well. Sorry to hear of Carlos' mother. I will keep you all in my prayers. Good health and a happy life to you both, and I hope you won't have to suffer separation again!
As always made my day. Hello from Madison, WI. Made homemade marinara sauce while watching. Soooo guuuude. After your show I’m going to an embroidery annual show.😊
It’s wonderful to see you both again! I’m sorry to hear that your Mum is so poorly Carlos, it must be a worry for you. It’s hard saying goodbye to our loved ones, I can empathise. It is touching to hear how the two of you don’t like to be apart 💜 Lovely to hear all of your news. I will have to start playing the lottery so that I can join you on one of your cruises 😄 Takk and be well, Sally 🌹
Carlos, I am so sorry to hear that your mother is not doing well. Don't worry about not being able to record a podcast, your family is more important, whenever you return we will always be here for you & Arne. Prayers to you & yours.
Hello lovely Arne and Carlos. Good to see you back. I have recently discovered that there is a knitting group at the local Nordic Church where I live that meets regularly. Lots of knitting traditions and skills from across Scandinavia! I bring my Scottish ones... One day, when my life is less chaotic, I may get to join you on your sail and stitch trips.
Glad you are both back on the channel. Prayers for your mom Carlos. I loved all the little sweaters Arne has made. 🙏😊 I am annoyed that there are no little sewing emojis on my Google keyboard! 😂
I can't thank you enough, gentlemen, for the joy and hope you've brought me over the past five years. During the pandemic lockdowns, your videos encouraged people like me (I'm a shut-in) to learn to quilt, embroider, crochet and knit. Your fearlessness to take chances, to do the unpredictable, and to embrace life is very inspiring. I haven't started knitting--YET--but my crochet projects have grown by leaps and bounds. I've had several health problems over the years. My recent surgery was successful, and I still have a few more procedures to go, but I have hope and a plan! With your gentle encouragement and beautiful videos, I've also begun learning Norwegian and plan to visit next year, along with a few of my grown children. I have hope like I never did before. I cannot wait to cruise up the stunningly beautiful coast of Norway, and up a fjord (or two or three), see the Northern Lights, shop in Norwegian yarn stores, and confidently roam the city of Oslo. Just wanted to tell you both, from the bottom of my heart: Bless you, bless you, bless you!!!!!🥰
I totally love you two! I love that you don’t like to be separated. It is heart warming and beautiful! ♥️🐑♥️🐑♥️

Just wanted to tell you both, from the bottom of my heart: Bless you, bless you, bless you!!!!!🥰
You are a very impressive person, have fun learning Norwegian
I love learning about Norway through you two!
Enjoy your Japan trip!
