Only if you plan on gaming on it a-lot and plan on purchasing PS5 titles. If you game on other consoles or on the PC primarily, then I think 670 is too expensive.

Better comparison is Xbox series X not series S.
Series X is the one to go for. But PS5 plus S or X is a fantastic combo.

Yes that cable is most likely power only and doesn’t support data transfer. Try a different cable and it will work.
It’s just common sense to use the cable that came with the console 💀
