I've got one in the same colour with SP Engineering slash cut exhausts 😁. Traded a 2016 Honda CBF1000F for it. The Scrambler is shorter, narrower and a lot lighter than the CBF (245kgs), the gearbox is smoother and it's an absolute blast to ride. The heat isn't an issue, try a CBF when the fan kicks in and literally cooks your right leg, as they are known to run hot anyway. Only picked mine up a few weeks ago and so looking forward to better weather.
It is a cracking looking bike, and great that Triumph have bikes like this for taller folk, and smaller bikes for stumpies like myself. I'm trying to imagine my goldilocks of bikes at the moment, and I really can't... proper struggling.
Great review! I agree it really does everything, and I’ve even jumped mine a few times off-road 🤗😅 and it handles well, the only drawback I found was on the beach it was super heavy so it does wear you out but it’s worth the challenge!
I want one, so... As I can't afford one, could you give this to me when you've finished the review? Triumph won't miss it, I can assure you. I live near Hinckley and they seem to have loads so they ain't gonna miss just one... Excellent review again! My single go to channel for all things biking!
I've ridden one, lovely engine and a beautiful looking bike. Fitted me nicely being tall. One or two things stopped me from buying The seat is too narrow to be all day comfortable The dash, it's too small, readouts too small for old guys like me to read. I'm not keen on keyless either. Still came close to buying just based on its looks.
Spicy The 1200 XE is not even close to the Tiger 1200 except for height in the saddle. The 1200 XE is narrower and has a lower CG than My Tiger 1200. It is better suited for more off road than my Tiger. The overall performance is light years apart. My Tiger is 140+ hp vs 95 ish. HUGE difference! Yes, the wind protection on the Tiger vs XE is miles apart. Two different machines for different purposes.. Great video Sir!
I,m in the market for this kindof bike,, the Tiger just does not do it for me ,,its just too big and heavy. This bike is (I think ) the best looking in its class. I think I must do a test ride on the XC ,this one is too tall for me..Also I do,nt think it would look right with a screen...and you would need a screen to do any distance work...A screen on the XC may just work (or then again maybe not)
@@lipsee100 My 1200 Tiger XCX is a BIG bike! I'm 5'11" and I consider my self the minimum able to flat foot the bike. I also love the classic look of all the scramblers. The XE is a really tall bike. You should also look at the Tiger 850 and the new Tiger 660. They might be a great fit for you depending on the type of riding you want to do.
I know you keep wondering, “Why would I need a 1200cc motorcycle?” But when it comes to covering distances, especially with a pillion, the old saying comes true: There is no replacement for displacement ! 😉 And so what if you’re “only” getting 50 mpg, I’m guessing Reeno would want to get off and stretch her legs every 150 miles….as would you 😜.
Excellent video 📹, it's a great looking bike. Have you seen one with the low Zard exhaust...deals with heat AND allow s you to use throw over panniers if your travelling. Look forward to hearing your final thoughts! Cheers, Steve
If there was ever a do it all “Grail” bike ... this, in my opinion, is it! ....took me 40 years of trying all sorts to find it mind!... save your time and buy it... summer back lane touring, twos up with the Mrs, is when the engine capacity comes into its own!
Its on my short list for a 2nd/3rd bike next year, you're not helping, or maybe you are. Oh I don't know!! Its just a little more than I was hoping to spend.
"Not an expert in any one area" kind of sums up my riding style. I like the idea of the all-rounder bike from the old days.
YUP!!
Great review, I love mine, best bike I’ve ever owned, it just makes you want to smile all the time when you’re out on it.

It does really suit you spicy. I can see this as a future one bike does all for you.

I would like to see that.

It certainly sits nicely in the Jizz Machine category! What a beautiful machine!
Nice bike

Is the floating mirror only available for the left side?
only If I mount the camera on that side haha
😂 Thanks for the reply I'm interested it getting the older model. Keep up the good vids
It is a good looking bike.
What is the size of the rear shocks? 400mm?
250mm front and rear
This review has made me think one of these would suit me. I'm tall enough.
Have you tried a bmw f800gs? I know it's not a new bike anymore and got replaced by the f850gs
Fantastic roads for a brilliant bike. You are superb at these long term reviews.🙂🙂🙂
