This is a free tutorial with 5 Tips for Snowboard Chicks.
Snowboarding for girls is not the same as for guys. In this video Natalie takes you through a few tips that will help you girls improve your riding in the park and have fun on your snowboards.
The keys points are:
Ride with a group of friends that you feel comfortable with. This will make you forget about what other think and help you focus on your riding and having fun. Find some good friends that can help, push you and get you stoked.
Don't care what people think. Find your confidence, and go try out the park. It doesn't matter if you fall, people will give you credit for trying, and girls riding park are awesome.
Bailing is a natural step towards getting better. So don't worry about falling. Just try until you get it right. Practice makes perfect.
Setting goals will help you improve your riding a lot. Think about what you want to achieve and write it down. This will give you a clear picture of what you need to go out and do each day you are on the mountain.
Last but not least. Snowboarding is all about having fun. Find your best friends and hit the park for an awesome time. Forget what other people think and let yourself have a good time. Snowboarding is the best!
Hope this will give all you girls some extra drive to ride park on your snowboard.
And as always..

Being a girl that rides its just nice to have representation. I love this video :)
I want to encourage more ladies to progress themselves. I am turning 60 in a month and just worked up my courage to go into the park (9th year riding) I can’t take too many risks since older bones break more often than they bend! It is a rush to make my way through the pipe just as well as most kids I watch from the lift.
"if youre not crashing, that means youre not even trying" i like that :)
And then I broke my arm lol
I love this video! Sometimes, it's just really nice to be validated by someone who knows where you are coming from. Being a girl, It's definitely intimidating riding with guys, even on days when I feel confident. I love this message. Thanks for the video snowboard addiction!
why some people are always complaining, if no vid is made by/for girls they say " oh so sexist no vids for girls " if the vid is for girls they say " oh so sexist why make vid for girls if we are all the same " .
Snowboarding may be the same, own thoughts may be not..
good vid , thanks !
So true lol. Guys are getting all butthurt over thia video made for girls
I legit thought i was the only one who wasn't progressing in snowboarding because i was afraid that the dude behind me would laugh at my failures
Just started snowboarding and would love to see more videos of women providing tips and techniques! Keep them coming!!!

Stephanie Ra-Ba try fasting. No meals at all. You’ll ride much better.
Everyone has the right to shred! I love to see chicks, boys, kids, adults etc shred the park, doesn't really matter how good you are. Those who shouldn't be allowed at the park or the mountain for that matter is douchebags. They are the one ruining the experience. Those who makes you feel uncomfortable and keeps you down.
I hope that one day we all will be treated as friends in the park and you will always have a group to shred with when hitting the park!
these are good tips for guys too
Most definitely!
Had my first snowboard lesson yesterday and failed so bad haha. This makes me feel better haha. Pro in no time. ☺️
''How to Improve your Snowboarding as a Girl''
Do exactly the same thing as guy snowboarders do.
It doesn't matter if you're a guy or a girl. Snowboarding is snowboarding.
Thank you. 👏
Nono, he mean this is his tutorial as normal but he have been transformed into a girl!
When I was watching the video i was like "Why for a girl ?". It works for everybody.
Its aimed at women because mostly everything out there is targeted at guys. For me its nice to see things made specifically for girls who ride. You'll never hear someone tell a guy snowboarder "Its okay that you can't do it, you're a boy."
That's true...
OMG that is sooooooo TRUE!! You GOTTA have fun doing it and in order to do that you gotta totally stop caring what anyone thinks, and not compare yourself to anyone else!!!!! This is excellent advice for LIFE ITSELF!!!! You hit the nail on the head Natalie!!
GREAT... will be looking forward to checking them out!!
Well said !I am a Latina ,that already try twice snowboard with my patient husband, and yeah I don’t care what people will think if I fall or i am not an expert, but I have so much fun and that keeps me motivated to learn more!
Good, we all need to be reminded and get some encouragement for time to time!
Thank you for the awesome video! We'll try these next time we go on the slopes
I'm in love with your hoodie omg. Where did you get it?
i love you so much!!!! more tips for girls please!!!!! thankssss :)
Like everyone's saying... It doesn't matter if you're a girl or a guy the vid was great and the tips are very helpful. Thanks!
Yeah girl! Nice riding and tips!
More ladies in the park and more info videos done by women. Thanks SA for getting this going!
Going snowboarding for the first time with my bf and friends, so I’m making this whole video my mantra rn
I love this
do you collect the stickers on your helmet from places you visit? or do you buy them at stores?
Nice Nat!
I like the first fall she did, if that was the competition I would have giving her a high score.
She's just so freaking cute! I had to watch it over and over xD
Awesome video! I have some questions though because I am probably an intermediate rider (can ride confidently on the slopes, do turns and control the board well) and I was wondering what things I could try and do next? I have attempted jumps before and landed a couple of times but Im from New Zealand and the mountains I ride don't always have jumps and rails on them. Thanks :)
***** Awesome thankyou! :)
I'm in nz too, which mountain do you ride? On ruapehu, there's always mini parks for beginners and big parks for the more competent
+Henry Gong really?? I've been to ruapehu tonnes and never seen it where abouts on the mountain is it? Going to Queenstown this holiday I'll find some. Would love it if u could check out my channel ;)
+Lauren Harrell on Turoa, the mini park is just to the right when you go up park lane, the bigger parks are down the giant and muzza zone. There's a boarder cross course down track 24(forgot the name) which I just raced in the north island nationals. I'm not too sure about whakapapa though
also subbed Lauren Harrell
a agree with what shes saying, but the main fear a lot of girls as well as guys avoid features is because we've hurt ourselves pretty bad on them before and don't have the courage to put ourselves at risk for another painful end to the day or season
I'm not really as afraid of injuring myself but I'm scared of when girls bail (or maybe it's just me) but when I fall, most guys just say "that's why girls shouldn't be allowed in the park" or "this is why snowboarding isn't a girls sport" and that is the type of stuff that crosses me.
1:00 Haha I was riding the park last week and broke my collar bone. I have surgery tomorrow :)
thats what happens when you try too hard..
goal setting is key
Very fluent.. like !
dope sweatshirt. what brand?
i need it
would you pleae make a video on how to turn in steep terrins prettily like a girl not like ... aggressively like a guy... i know it may sound.. what the *^*&^ .. but i saw girls riding , they are so ... chill and so ... relax.. as all the guys snowboarding videos , guys are looking so ... agressive and not really chilling ... is like they are going to fight the mountain or something lol
Due to being a female I have brittle bones from osteoporosis, so a tip from me after breaking my: teeth, fingers wrist, elbow, foot, ribs, coccyx, back - would be to invest in good protective gear. I’m still riding tho lmao
I'll take a few hints for snowboarding, being overweight, out of shape and have younger kids and a family that skis.
where can I get that sugar ray hoodie !!
I'm in love
wht kind of hoodie is that?
Ok she is awesome.
Sooo i have a question thoo... sooo i‘m Snowboarding for likeee 5 years now (i‘m actually a skier lol) and I got a new board but it’s for male, is that a problem or is that just fine? Because i now a lot about skis and not Snowboards 👉🏻👈🏻
@@SnowboardAddiction ahhh thank you sooo much✨
Where is her sweatshirt from???😍😍😍☺️☺️
+Snowboard Addiction can you still get it some where. Have been looking fore it fore ages?
She has skills and is very cute
AYe girl I want your hoodie, but its sold out.
I'm the only girl that goes to the train park where I'm from😂 there may be 1/2 others but I snowboard almost everyday in the winter and I've only seen 1 other girl.
right on
where's her sweater jacket thing from?
+Snowboard Addiction is it an actual jacket or just a sweatshirt?
Wow you are a dream 😍
tips for buying gloves?
Would this help if I am a guy?
neck gator?
did i just fall in love?
Tip number one: stick with a group of friends so people won't judge you
Tip number two: don't worry about people judging you ??????
She aight
kinda cute
cute
Women like to TGI things
excuse me! I am a genderfluid intersex trans man to woman to man again! who am i supposed to get snowboard tips from?
"Some people are really good at jumps"....
... Went on to do a really weak method with no shifty and tindy grab.
Wait I thought we got rid of gender...
Why do you need to specifically mention how to "learn as a girl"? This stereotype is ridiculous, you learn the same way regardless of your gender.
No can't agree with you, maybe it's true for some girls, but these tips totally applied to me when I was trying to progress, and it's great to be reminded so I can keep on progressing well.
Goggles???
+Snowboard Addiction did you switch the lens? these look more blue than silver
Come on guys this is obviously TGI it's fake we can all laugh at this
I am offended that you acknowledged her gender
I just hate bigotry like this. why didn't you do an improve your snowboarding for LGBTQ+ people too? Don't we matter?
