i love this balm but i do agree it can be a bit difficult to remove mascara with this (and sometimes brow products depending on what brow product it is)
I was messing around with this oat balm this morning, and I created a fabulous hybrid. Inkey balm was too thick and hard to spread even after its melted in my palm. S0 I added a tiny bit of hada laba's cleansing oil (which I find too thin) into my palm. Then I mixed it around, and it made a medium consistency that is perfect! Once I spread it around on my face then splashed a little water, it emoliated (did that white thing) so beautifully and smoothly!! I wiped that off with a makeup eraser, then did a second cleanse. You should try it! Add the oil very slowly, though.
OK, lol, mine is too goopy & yours is too firm...I am wondering if inkey is getting counterfeit product from their factory, like formulated with slightly different/cheaper recipe. Def not a fact, just a concern. But I really do think that mixing our own cleansing oil&occlusive mixtures will generate best results.
I’ve been wanting to try this so badly but it’s always sold out on Sephora (in Australia)! :(( P.s. I absolutely love your skincare trials, I don’t really see much people trying out skincare products and actually showing the before and after! Love your videos girl!! ❤️
I dont like cleansing oils that struggle taking off mascara and eyeliner. Im sticking to my Hada Labo. It works perfect; great price too and has refills.
OK, I am glad to see this - my product came all separated and gross, there's no "balm," I get an oily liquid and a thick glop of the occlusive blend. Tbh, I was also shocked by how cheap the packaging was, they used a much cheaper plastic tube than usual, it was very stiff and sharply edged. My first thought was "counterfeit," but it came from inkey. Not super excited about the product, I am still really irritated that so many influencers mock very safe DIY oil cleansing, all the makeup cleansers I've made work much better than this. It's fine, I guess, but I am guessing the separation issue is pretty common. Aquaphor or petro jelly (watch dr dray b4 u scoff, i swear she grows on one), btw, will remove some mascaras and most glitter/shimmer quite effectively, and it is too thick to run down, so you don't have to coat your face in eye makeup + cleanser "juice".
Balms like this should be left for at least 1 min on the eyes to do the work without you rubbing. It is amazing for mascara even waterproof heavy mascara but you need to allow the product to do its work
How does your skin feel after using the cleanser… before you go in w your second cleanser? Likeeee does it make your skin feel like it has a film on it?
Highly recommend some coconut oil for that eye makeup. Rub it on, leave it a min and wipe away and it gets off all the mascara, liner etc. It melts it away! I plan to try this cleanser but I'll use coconut oil on the eyes first ✌️
I know this is late but I think it depends on your skin type, if you have very dry skin, i think using this by itself in the morning would be beneficial. Im not sure about it leaving a 'film' on the skin but it will ur skin will feel smooth which is a good thing. If u wear makeup & sunscreen, you must double cleanse at night-time, even if u have dry skin:)
But I'd generally reccomend doing a double cleanse, these cleansing balms/oils are meant to be used as pre-cleansers, so while they remove dirt, gunk, suncreen, makeup etc they prep the skin for the second cleanser in your routine which is why they leave that smooth, soft feeling on your skin, it acts as a protective barrier so ur skin isnt being stripped too much of ur natural oils and preserves more moisture. Hope this helped 👍🏼
Don't worry it's not at all an exfoliator, the grittiness are not from micro beads or anything of that sort but rather the smashed oats, giving it an uneven texture.
I don't wear makeup or if I do it's mascara and if I'm feeling fancy then some lipstick and eyeliner as well. I only use concealer on my breakout areas if there's none then I skip. However sunscreen is everyday so I'm looking for something simple and most important something which won't irritate my really sensitive skin. My skin is like a baby throws tantrams and even if a product says its for sensitive skin, my skin has a mind of its own and will flare up with eczema and pimples. I've heard this is the safest for sensitive skin. I want to use it as my 1st cleanse before using my hydrating cerave cleanser. Plz tell me if it works for u.
I bought this - how are you supposed to rinse it of with water as the instructions say? It literally sits like Vaseline on your face lol! Double cleansed but can still feel the grease… So confused.
I appreciate that toner test. Will be trying this cleanser out. Thank youuuu
your makeup always looks sooo good 👍 and love these kind of videos

I wasn’t sure whether to take my make up off first or not! Thank you

That blue eye makeup 😍😍😍
I absolutely love the Inkey List products. I have Psoriasis and had very bad flare ups. This brand has toned them down for me.

I love the eye make up when you start the video :) which was it? 🤗

Did u find that it could take out oil plugs ?

How do you take it of from it's bottle? Mine is really solid
Thanks for the video❤
💝the oat Cleaner balm
off topic but eyeshadow game strong 😌

did it cause u to break out? at the start of the video u had clear skin and at the end you had a few around ur jaw. was this because of the product?
No! Just my hormonal acne!
you're so pretty wow
Is it good at stand alone?
Can it be washed by cream cleanser like physiogel?
Did you feel "grittiness" in the oat cleansing balm? Thx.
Nope
I did
I did… mine also had a scent, which makes me think it was expired. Gotta love those Sephoras in JC Penneys 🤦🏻♀️
I’ve been seeing this a lot but mine is 100% smooth!
Yeah it's fragrance free ✅✅✅
Does this leave a film on face ??? What if i dont do second cleanse after this will it clog my pores?

Did you feel any grittiness? I tried this today and it felt gritty, almost like a very fine scrub
Yes a bit!
Those are impurities and blackheads coming out I think
@@Btree33 nothing coming out haha just the product itself
yess i was so confused because it felt like an exfoliator ? doesn’t sound like it’s gentle to me but who knows

literally same omg!
@@munch254 It's annoying 😆

a lot of people have had the same issue
Emulsify the product first before using water, it leaves no residue even with the thickest of oil balms if you emulsify the product.
Idk but you look like charlie damelio...
♡
It smells like oat kernel 😅
The colour tone on your chest and face dont match.
I have this and it’s amazing for the price but it leaves my eyes oily (?) even if I use a foam cleanser after🥲
