Hi Melissa great video, but I treat this cleansing balm like I would others, I apply to a dry face, rub in, then add water to emulsify it breaking up make up and sunscreen( this is where the magic happens) then rinse and wipe gently with a soft cloth if you feel any residue. If I want to use as a mask especially before I get into the bath I apply to a clean dry face, ( like how masks should be applied ) this stops my face from drying out while I’m having a bath. I have no idea why the inkey list says to apply to a wet face on the package, but I have tried both ways and prefer applying to a dry face and so on, however this is just my opinion, and everybody should do what feels right for themselves. You’re videos are very informative none the less😊
Hello Monica, Not all Balm cleansers have to be applied on dry skin; some can be applied on wet/damp or on dry skin; it just depends on the formulation of the cleanser 😉 Not sure about the mask part, but I assumed that the idea was to leave it on the skin while gently massaging it into it; it's kind of a cleanser masque hybrid. So that you hydrate the face while washing it at the same time. And thank you. 🍰
Hello 😃 Hmm, to remove makeup or sunscreen, The Ordinary works much better. However, this cleanser makes the skin feel very soft and hydrated afterwards. So as a daily balm cleanser, The Inkey List.
I've tried this and also some other fat-based cleaners and it's not bad, but I still prefer Clinique's Take the Day Off. Starts at 3:45 btw if you want to get straight to the demonstration.
No. It's very smooth. But for how long do you have it 🤔? Because from my experience, if it is an older product, the texture change, and it's almost "unusable". Not sure why it does that 🤷🏻♀️
Is the texture of this cleansing balm 'grainy'. I was used to using Beauty Of Joseon's cleansing balm which is too light weight and gentle. Compared to that this one is too thick and feels grainy
I currently have acne. When I use the balm, I still feel a residue, even after the salicylic acid cleanser. Do I need to use a cloth to remove the balm, because I don’t want to damage skin whilst I have painful acne😭
A soft washcloth will not damage the skin, so yes, you can use one. Furthermore, if you don't like the current cleansing balm, consider switching to another one. Options include the G&G Mighty Melt Cleansing Balm or the Beauty of Joseon Cleansing Balm.
This is m favorite cleansing balm. It gets everything of without stripping my skin or leaving it overly oily. Perfect for my double cleansing routine. I wanna use more inkey list product specially ones for anti aging and brightening. Do you have any suggestions
Hello again :) I just checked your last comment, so are you still using the retinoid? Or if you tell me what you currently use, I can help you better. 🙂
According to the comments, it can be stripping. According to my husband and me, no, it works well. Still, it may depend on your overall skin condition and the products you use along with it! :)
@@LaraCookie5Yes, I understand how you want to use them, and it can work. However, I would recommend using a mild, hydrating foaming cleanser instead, such as the Beauty of Joseon Green Plum Cleanser.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet Thank you! Tbh, I don’t like this cleanser. I’ve noticed that it lefts a weird oily residue so I’ll have to look into the one you’ve recommended.
@@LaraCookie5 Yeah, that's why I wouldn't use the CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser afterwards. Beauty of Joseon's Balm Cleanser and their Green Plum Cleanser are two of my favorites.
@@MelissaVanDijkTheSkinDiet last question hehe. I have little acnes on my cheek area which would you prefer as a cleanser, the ordinary or the inkey list? ☺️
The Ordinary Squalane Cleanser! :) However, if you do not use a Salicylic Acid or Benzoyl Peroxide Cleanser yet, I recommend looking into this too for your acne :)
Yes, my husband uses it, and it works well. But not sure if that's the only cleanser you should use. The Inkey List Salicylic Acid cleanser would be the other option. So if you do not use another cleanser or exfoliant, I recommend getting both and alternate :) And yes you can use Niacinamide afterwards.

I use it on dry skin and then emulsify! Works great for me!
Yes, I think it's just a personal preference 😃

Does your TIL oat cleansing balm have a "gritty" texture? If so, would kneading the tube mix it up better? Thx ☺️

Yes, absolutely
Hi Melissa ! This would be perfect for dry skin ?

Have they changed the formula? I got a new bottle and it leaves on an oily residue!
I haven't ordered a new one in quite some time, so I'm not sure about that.

Can I use Ceraves cleanser for dry skin as a second cleanser?

Don't interpret too much into pronunciation because it's really not that important; as long as people understand, it doesn't matter. :)
