- My grandma was having a difficult time finding a dress that would fit her the way she wanted and also be a fabric she loved, so I offered to make her one!

!! I'm definitely going to show this to my mom, she feels like she's "too old to wear dresses" and that "they wouldn't look as flattering on her anymore". Utter nonsense. This beautiful lady is *rocking* that dress. You can wear dresses at any age, the important thing is to have one that fits your body type/shape!
Maybe your mom tried some bodycon dresses and didn't like how they looked. She might like looser shaped dresses like caftans etc
Old fashion was about building a silhouette, modern fashion makes your body the fashion.
Both are good and equal, it just means finding what feels comfortable for you.

My mum is the same she always says it wouldn't look good on me but we keep telling her it looks good she even tried like two or three dresses but even then she bought a long one "to fit her age" she says and it looks so good on her!

Seamstress of over 40yrs here who used to work in theatre. The work put into the dress was lovely and of a good quality. This girl definitely knows how to sew. The dress didn't sit well however, darting and gathering was needed to give the dress more structure and shape.

@@lottedunnell4642 she didn’t ask for constructive criticism though. there’s nothing wrong with your comment, but it’s better suited to a video where she is actually asking for advice. giving people unsolicited criticisms, even if they’re constructive, sucks. sometimes people don’t want to hear what they could do better, sometimes they just want to show where they are right now.

Mia I am going through a loss of my Aunt Joanne who passed recently. She raised me as I lost my mother at 6 so she was my mother. I have to tell you that I just love how good and kind you are to your family. I love your video when you and your mom are trying out the sheets and blankets you bought in a damaged bundle.
