I have no problem with HF stuff, it is what it is. I have the angle grinder, been using it for years. The oscillating tool works great. Great source for tool cases. I get things that I can't justify spending a lot on for just a couple of jobs.
I bought two of the 4x8 fold-able trailers over 20 years ago. One I used as a utility trailer for hauling things around the house, the other one I only used half of the folding trailer bed, made it 9 1/2 inches narrower. Pu a huge Home Depot contractors box on it and then pulled it behind a motorcycle for over 100,000 miles and still going. BUT! Get rid of the 12 inch wheels and put 13 inch wheels on them. You will be glad you did. It makes a big difference in pulling and handling. I also extended the tongue on both of them 12 inches.
That was the one tool that I haven’t had for a long time, but I would still recommend buying it because it does a great job and is easy to use. Thanks for watching!
The beauty of the angle grinder is that you don’t have to change wheels or wire wheels. They are so inexpensive just buy another one or two and set it up to do one thing it beats fooling around changing wheels!
I ordered the saw blade sharpener, and thinking about getting their thickness plainer. Thx 4 the info on the hammer drill, fixin to put a bathroom in my basement and have been debating on getting that.
Their Japanese two sided hand saw,is awesum, rubber gloves,dust masks,mini router,dead blow hammers, d's 4 inch side grinder,steel cutoff discs,etc etc
I love that brad nailer/stapler. Also, their aluminum bar clamps are fantastic deals, and a necessity for table-top or panel glue-ups.....super inexpensive compared to Rockler, and work just as well.
Majority of the tools harbor freight sells are perfectly fine they are made for the occasional use 'not industrial daily use". I never had a problem with any tools from harbor freight
Think Harbor freight removing the coupons will do them in. I would rather buy name brands now. With a coupon its worth spending $80.00 there. I went in there the other day and their prices r getting to close to name brand tools to take a chance on what they sale. Jc penny did the same thing as Harbor freight and went belly up. They do got good buys on nailers and I will buy those there when I need any new ones. But my buying just to try a tool out is done with them. I got that Bauer hammer driller, bought when I installed tile in my house to mix the thin set. Good buy and good tool.
They are a bargain retail shop without bargains anymore. There is a chance that they will need some restructuring when their sales decline. They have wanted to make better tools but shouldn't leave what they do best. Cheap and decent!
I agree with you on your picks and will add some other winners their Prybar sets, dead blow hammer and impact sockets are all great values for the price and quality especially for DIY guys
@@littleaboutalot7478 They are around 500$US now. I just ordered the heavier version for around 550$. It is worth the extra 50$ for the added capacity, even though all I will be hauling on it is a single snowmobile.
FYI there are some people on YT with good videos on how to sharpen a chainsaw by hand, I think Wranglerstar has a couple videos on it, he is a former logger I think? and a Fire sawyer for wildland fires.
Yes, HFT burned me on a disc/belt sander purchase several years ago. It wouldn't spin the disc or belt when turned on. I exchanged it for another, and nearly the same problem....disc wouldn't spin, but the belt spun up for about 3 seconds then stopped. When I attempted to return this second one, for my money back, they refused cash back and gave me a HFT gift card instead....so I bought nearly their entire stock of sandpaper, lol. I have their cheap grinder, which works well for me (maybe I got lucky), but I'll never buy another electrically-powered tool from HFT ever again. Their pneumatic tools are decent, as are nearly all of their hand tools.....but I avoid their electrical tools like the plague.
@@babounous in my experience the Drillmaster line is decent, Chicago Electric and Central Machinery on the other hand tend to be hot garbage despite costing more
I killed the grinder within an hour. I was cutting up bracing on a trailer. If you need basic stuff, sure. I recommend a variable speed grinder. It was $13, but I returned it, so no loss.

I did 3 of them @ $10 each.....one a cut off, one a grinding disc and third one a wire brush
I heard the small grinder will burn up fast or keep tripping the breaker/ reset. I was interested at first but now I don’t know.

That same looking hammer drill made by Hilti costs $850. I know this because we burnt one up at work a couple weeks ago. Lol
My Harbor Freight grinder burned up in 4 hours. I took it apart and the brushes were fried.
