- FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday. During his testimony, Wray urged senators to reauthorize Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, or FISA, which allows the government to conduct warrantless surveillance of foreigners outside the U.S. The provision is set to expire on Dec. 31.

Senator Grassley is I think he's 89 or something like that but he's somebody that's completely honest to the American people, and he's holding the FBI and every other law enforcement agency accountable, I kind of joked about him when I first heard about him but Senator Grassley is a true honest American that loves this country, and he loves honesty and integrity he looks so young to me and president Trump said he's the toughest guy I've ever seen because he is honest, you know I kind of made a joke a little bit about that until I learned who Senator Grassley is

Forbes post them every day. You can also look up the committees you're searching for. Chances are, there's a committee for. There's Homeland security, and others and hours of committee hearings. They def don't go out of their way to show the American people these committees but they are there if you dont want to watch bias mainstream media channels. The Republicans had similar hype about border crossings during the Obama administration as they do now under Biden. In 2014, I moved to a Texas border town, in part because I thought it would be cool and exciting to see what they were raving about. I lived there for over a year and *never, not even once* saw anything remotely resembling the masses of immigrants that the Republicans kept whining about. I did get stopped by border patrol and asked to show my passport several times, but it was otherwise just a sleepy town without much going on.

I went hiking on the hills above the Rio Grande and never saw any of that. I walked along the Texas side of the border fence in town and had lunch beside it in a public park. I lived and worked about 2 miles from the border and walked and biked around town and in the surrounding countryside for exercise. Sometimes I went on road trips to other towns within a few hours of mine on the U.S. side of the border.
I was stopped by border patrol several times and asked to show my passport to prove my citizenship. This happened when I was either on foot or driving. Another time a woman tried to use her border patrol badge to intimidate me into giving her special treatment at work, which I wouldn't do. I saw land for sale signs where people were trying to sell "waterfront property," where the waterfront part (on the Rio Grande) was inaccessible because the yards were bisected by the border fence.
The town I was in was, historically, reliant on tourism from Mexico for much of its economy and its old downtown area near the border was *very* economically depressed since there were so few people crossing there any more. Some of my coworkers lived in Mexico and commuted into Texas every day through the main border crossing, despite being Americans, because according to them the rent was cheaper there and they wanted access to Mexico's universal health care system.
I never saw *any* of the people that Republicans spent so much time complaining about, and I was actually looking for them because I thought it would be cool to meet such interesting people. Either they never existed in the first place or they were in such small numbers as to be entirely unnoticeable.

And what about well dressed Chinese with expensive travel luggage showing up as border runners ? If Wray believes the FBI is doing a good job there is one thing missing !
