I saw Steve perform this song at the Marquee Club in 1978 and actually got to meet him and the band backstage after the show. I'll never forget. Got their autographs, the hurdy-gurdy girl cured my corns, and Steve turned my Fuller's London into sparkling water. What a night! The Legend Grows.
beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. most people don’t know there’s more to music than mainstream BS. be glad we and Steve crossed paths in the first place!
@@jaycee30865 Cardi B. Hmm! Wasn't it her that admitted to drugging and robbing her punters in her previous life as a t**t? As for musicianship the only thing that she is expert at is blowing the one eyed trouser snake.
I saw this man at the Rainbow .. Seven sisters road back in 1977!!... There was electric strikes and it was a bloody weird time.. But all was fooking amazing... Wow.. Happy bloody dayz... I'm flying on an green on...
I do not recall seeing an ad for or even hearing of Steve Hillage ever playing in either New York or Boston. What a great band! And with Clive Bunker, too! Sorry to have missed them. Got to see Mr. Bunker, though; at Tanglewood, 1970.
Wow, a real hurdy-gurdy, modular synths, and Clive Bunker on drums! What a shame this lineup didn't last longer, but I suppose the nebulous hippie ethos behind it meant that the lineup would never be permanent.

What an amazing guitarist! I love Steve Hillage's optimistic energy.
Steve always seemed to issue a positive, smiley kind of vibe wherever he went. Unusual guy.
mágico!!!
How is this guy not a legend???
He totally is!
He is for me! I loved the L tour!
Nicki Minaj is the legend.
He and everything Gong related is all legendary 98% of most people just listen to radio music or hot topic music

This was the first band I saw live, at the City Hall Newcastle. It was out of this world, thanks Steve.
I was there !!! 1979. I was a student in South Shields at the time !
Proper musicians. Steve is such a free player he just flows effortlessly.
He’s good but cardi B is a better musician.

@@myoldmate is like to be able to admit that I saw her and everyone like her get thrown into a branch chipper.

Wow! This is the first time I’ve checked out Steve Hillage and damn does it NOT disappoint! Thanks!
About the best guitar player not many heard of
Khan is so good.
I've bought a Kurzweil K2500 that belonged to him.

Looks like Clive Bunker from jethro Tull on drums. That’s wild.
Yep, that’s him. I was just reading the liner notes of L, and it said he was part of Steve’s touring band.
God in a woolly hat.
I might not remember each individual trip, but I know that some involved Steve Hillage gigs solo and with Gong.
OOOooohhh the layers in this.. sublime.. :)
I was listening to him in my mushroom days.
I think I just had a flash back!
I might be mistaken but didn't Utopia play on the studio album?
Vielen Dank fürs teilen!

Just for Don this is Steve Hillage
This is the same year as punk, though you'd never know to look at this!
Organic static
Good thing Johnny Rotten never saw this, his head would've literally exploded from his outrage.
Fuck yeah!
cool!!
Like Rush and Halkwind, but more chilled. Strong influence to bands such as Ozric Tentacles
Ozriiiic!!!
