This trailer was MUCH deeper than people realise. She has the seven deadly sins written in Latin throughout the trailer, the only one that’s missing is “lust” (because it’s portrayed throughout the trailer). There’s also a direct Judas reference & the crucifixion scene. Her whole deal is tempting people (like the snake in Eden), the BDSM parallels to me highlight the thin line between pleasure and suffering, which embodies her whole exchange, instant gratification leading to long term suffering. Also if people aren’t aware, the IPC workers she’s fighting in this trailer are “moles” from Oswaldo’s department, so throughout the trailer she’s searching for the traitor (similar to Judas, also at the start there are twelve people in chairs surrounding her, another Judas/supper reference), and trying to weed them out. Could they have portrayed this all better? Maybe, but I really loved the symbolism and the deeper symbolism in this trailer. I could write a lot more but I won’t bore you.
Yeah, people get too distracted by booba and the brain turns off. I briefly wrote about the referrences here but this comment is much better expressed. I don't think it could have been portrayed better personally, or rather, that a different portrayal would be better really. There's no better effect than this public reaction for her theme, getting blinded by the appeal and missing all the meaning/reasoning/consequences on the way, much like her clients making deals.

I’m kind of sad about all the negative reactions to this trailer, because in my opinion it’s one of the best in terms of what it represents and how the entire trailer embodies the character perfectly.

It's made for people like us with a little extra knowledge that makes it easier to spot, even if it's a bit of a shame for the general image (though the character was already getting more shit for other reasons, so some trailer reactions other than this one could be biased). Jade is definitely fascinating in a sense that she's not what she seems in every possible angle. Some think she's weak but in reality her kit is very effective, some think she's the devil or shady but then the text messages you get from her after pulling paint a different character. I hope she gets more lore and screen time going forward.
Her theme is "desire" and supposedly also reading people's thoughts or feelings, so they double down on the desire part for the first half, with the consequences at the end. There's this whole imagery of sacrifice and temptation, Adam and Eve, stuff like that. While it is definitely coomer bait, it's ~artistic~ coomer bait, I'm fine with that personally.
I don't hate Jade or anything and she's hot and all but we still don't know her backstory and I don't need more Erudition characters as of now. I already got my E3 Firefly and my Ruan Mei and I'm just saving with the hope they re-release Black Swan, Aventurine or Sparkle soon and I can get them instead.
Some people are struggling with PF on their accounts due to no Himeko or Argenti. I say a niche unit like Jade from time to time is fair to help those people
A character won't have a performance that only works in one scenario, even if other scenarios are weaker because obviously there's a prime situation to use them. Everything is about who you pair her with. If a fast dps like Seele who's also quantum and is single target for example, she'll gain stacks slower first and faster later compared to AoE content while softening the mobs to get oneshot by Seele easier. The same goes for counter units, she'll gain more stacks later through off-turn damage. The game goes deeper than it seems.
I disagree. I don't need fanservice to THIS degree to think a character is hot. Most of the characters looks good just by their own and don't need a 2 minute video about how sexy they are to convice me. They just degraded Jade to coomer bait, which I feel is a shame cause I like her
@@zorasoraa The female characters in wuthering waves look way too fanservice and unrealistic but ur not complaining about it and when ur playing all these gacha games and fangirling over them i think ur reaction is contradictory and sorry but this is my opinion and not cuz i love Jade and normally i dont like dominant mommy stuff but weve all seen 50 shades of grey right this is nothing compared to that :P
I like to leave things to the imagination, we didn't really get that for Jade they just gave us everything lmao which is a turn off FOR ME. Yes I droll over characters that are hot, but that doesn't mean I wanna watch them doing obvious sexual things. It's all about the subtleness for me. @@zorasoraa Lol if its a turn off for u its fine but i thought the beginning scene was actually funny and the rest of the demo was amazing the effects the music and i love pink and purple and when i love a character so much its hard for me to get turned off cuz of one single thing and Jade is like my type of female character shes so cool and elegant and sneaky but in a good way💜 and we might see more of her in future ipc is very relevant to the story after all
