Good work there. I just instaled myblow gears watching this video. Just a friendly remark to you and others attempting this swap. The pinion gears that comes with all the sets, slow, trail and speed, are all the same, 11 tooth, so no need to swap that.
this makes things so much better for me I tried taking myn apart and found out the moter mount screws to the transmission came stripped from factory but I don't need to take that out yay
thanx for posting this, i just grabbed a mini and the low gear set, lots of vids on swapping the entire trans, this is the way i wanted to do mine, thanx
Great video man! Im gonna do this swap soon. I may as an experiment deactivate the front transaxle to see what happens in 2wd with speed gears and a 47t pro motor haha
Thanks it’s a pretty easy thing to do. Hopefully people will see it is not much harder than changing out the whole transmission and motor. It is so much cheaper to just buy the gears.
The only one that would really cause a problem is the one on the motor. The only thing stopping it is that it is a tight fit. Not set screw or anything on this type of car.
@@rcglock9608 Yeah let me know if that works. Seems a little tricky the way they have it setup. I was also surprised to see the pinion as a friction fit and not a set screw.
Well, I can try to throw it in tonight! I could probably have a video up by the morning! Just would have only crawled in the house. It is already dark.

I kinda thought so but good to know!! Thank you!

Great video! Im just going to throw this out there, if youre ripping the whole trans apart for gears, get a bearing kit and do the bearings with it 👍

Your Welcome!
Thanks for putting this up! Will be doing the low gears tonight
It should help a lot!!

Nice job. Thanks! This is exactly what I needed to see.
Thank you!
First ti.e watching youre vids but loved it you earned a sub❤
Thank you!! I appreciate it!
Not only did I like, I also subscribed

Make an entire new video on how to change it to the low gears please
Is there a difference in the gear on the motor between the stock, crawl and speed gears?
I think they are all the same
Not a huge huge difference, but the low gears are def better for crawling.
Just picked the same up today. No gears left. Store only got 1 of everything! 😢
That stinks!
What stops the gears from slipping on the shafts without a spline

Is the motor adjustable so u could use the smaller pinion with the speed hears?
No it is not! The motor is a fixed position. You have to change all the gears for a speed change.
I guess I'll have to slot the motor mount holes then

Really curious to see how the low speed performs.

@@Marcs_TV That'd be rad! Mainly curious how the slow speed torque is because a lot of videos make it seem a bit jumpy while crawling over stuff.
Just finished filming! Video will post in the morning! I think I will be sticking with the low range gears. Makes for really slow and smooth driving.
No grease required or anything right?
I did not apply any. Does not seem to be anything on them from the factory.
Everybody is customizing this truck and I haven’t even gotten mine yet!!😡
Do you get it tomorrow?
@@Marcs_TV I don’t think so, I ordered it from Traxxas and they are saying mid November!🤷🏻♂️
@@joekugelman4196 That stinks. Hopefully you get it sooner rather than later!
@@Marcs_TV thanks, same here… o have others to play with but I am really anticipating this one!
@@joekugelman4196 I get that and when you know other people already have them!
