I just feel like the Doomsday thing came out of now where. Also if I remember correctly, doomsday was from Krypton. Lex Luthor had nothing to do with him ever. It’s just all over the place man. If this fight had taken place later in the dceu after us seeing Superman fight numerous other villain’s first including absolutely dominating steppenwolf and then seeing doomsday do the same to Superman it would have had much more impact. Not to mention I wouldn’t have given doomsday any sort of energy based abilities. His raw strength and ferocity is what makes him so dangerous. At last I would have made the fight longer with many more scenes of Superman fighting doomsday 1v1 and have the story take place maybe between Justice league 1 and 2 with the whole league meeting him first. The league would fight doomsday and lose like in the comics and then the world losing its greatest protector as Darkseid’s invasion reaches earth. Darkseid IS a reason to work to revive Superman.. not steppenwolf. Not to mention the league would be emotionally invested trying to bring back their friend, teammate, and leader instead of trying to bring him back just for muscle.
