tbh, i didnt really knew who doomsday is, after lex luthor made the monster. I was just amazed. I was like oh hell no. Big destruction incoming! I was connected to zod so emotionally in this movie. I was sad for zod, seeing him getting used by lex as a ugly monstorous weapon. Why don't human just let him die. Why does he have to get his ass kicked again by the meta humans. (Thank god i saw ultimate edition😄) But for some stupid people (calling themselves fans) said this scene was just big cgi trash fight!

Jesus, when it comes to the amaizing shots, sound design, vfx and music. This movie is years ahead of any comic book one. Zack Snyder is not just good, he is really god damn good, one of the best of the industry when it comes to the mixture of music and visuals. Justice League, as a product, was a joke compared to the quality of this film.
Yep, I've always said. This problem with Zack is that he is terrible about building characters, weaving cohesive narratives, and directing a story. A movie is more than just visuals. His biggest flaw is style over substance. If this universe had his style with a great storyteller, it would be head over heels better than the Marvel Universe.

Batman's horrified expression upon seeing the nuke in the sky truly showed how far he'd come. Just an hour or less earlier, he was bent on killing Superman; now, his assumed death horrifies him and presumably fills him with guilt. Which guilt is amplified when Supes actually dies. This is CINEMA 👏

Captain America is a beef cake with a shield, he dies, i'm sorry. I would like to point out that Superman as written isn't supposed to be beatable. When he was created, he was supposed to represent hope during hard times and no matter what, he would always win in the end.

Doomsday took the brunt of it. I always assumed the nuke killed Doomsday and then reanimated and evolved to be more durable. Supes was lucky to survive because he was in a weakened state at that point.

Everyone bitched about Lois in this scene. Couple things going on here let me explain 1. She threw the spear into the water to get it away from Superman. Knowing it's the one thing that can kill him 2. She saw a giant monster come into the battle so she figured that the spear will be needed There you go. I filled in your plothole
But she doesn’t know exactly that doomsday is a kryptonian like superman and kryptonite can kill it. This was the only bad scene in the movie. Lois has no idea about doomsday and she randomly thinks that the green spear can kill it. Makes no sense.

I think it's pretty obvious, by this point in the DCEU the people in this world have seen only one type of superpowered being, the type that come from Krypton. So she would obviously think that if there is a new superpowered being that it is most likely Kryptonian. Secondly, an even simpler explanation would be that if the most powerful being on the planet is Superman and he was about to die at the hands of a mere man thanks to a specific weapon, then maybe that weapon will also be powerful enough to kill this new superpowered being who Superman is fighting toe to toe with.

That she witnessed that kind of attack right? that the only beings that can get toe to toe with Superman are Aliens that possibly from his planet again. Oh and guys, the reason why superman "died from the nuke was because he is only surposed to absorb light radiation. The nuke had harmful radiation and too much of that shit can fuck him up bad. Also, the reason he recharged so quickly was because he was out of the earth's atmosphere and without the ozone, the sun rays were much more powerful.
Solar energy and visible light are also forms of radiation. From what I understand, that is also why Kryptonite is so dangerous to Superman. The type of radiation given off by Kryptonite is harmful to both humans and Kryptonians, but Superman is built to absorb a lot more of the radiation he is around and use it to fuel his superpowers. So Kryptonite can make Superman feel ill immediately, prevent his powers from working, and kill him if he is not allowed to move away from the Kryptonite and absorb yellow sun energy to recover. In "The Dark Knight Returns" there is also that same scene, where Superman is caught within a nuclear blast in space. I think it has a similar effect on him because the nuclear radioactive fallout could have also harm Superman in the same way as Kryptonite. As for Doomsday in the comics, he was a creature genetically-engineered by the Kryptonian scientist, Bertron, to be the ultimate intergalactic bioweapon. Bertron's goal was to create a monster that could heal itself from almost any injury and adapt to any planetary environment/combatant. Doomsday was also homicidal because Bertron pitted Doomsday against many harsh environments, beasts, and weapon systems, which forced Doomsday to suffer countless agonizing deaths since infancy, only to be regenerated back to life. These experiments to test how powerful/adaptable Doomsday really is left Doomsday with a hatred and fear of all life around him, like Victor Frankenstein's creature. Doomsday's strengths and weaknesses constantly change depending on what opponent he has faced before. Sometimes Doomsday can absorb yellow sun energy like Superman, giving him that same weakness to Kryptonite. Other times, he can change his body so it can absorb a different type of energy. I was looking at a summary of different comic storylines involving Doomsday, and I think one of them had Doomsday evolving to absorb the energy fired by a certain supervillain, so Doomsday can become impervious to that opponent's attacks and can even fire it back at him. I guess this is similar to how the movie Doomsday was critically injured by the bomb blast, but found a way to draw power from the nuclear fallout to become even stronger than before.
After 3:34 it's like Doomsday, Wonder Woman, and Superman are trying to one up eachother with their entrances. Meanwhile Batman's just sitting there like "Oh shit".

For all of you smartasses who constantly ask "Why didn't Batman just get the Spear and come back?" Doomsday was not going to just sit there with his feet propped up while Batman got the spear. He would have headed to the city on his own and started causing havoc. Batman lead him to an abandon area for the most part, which was far better than letting him roam free. Had the final battle taken place anywhere else many innocents would have died. *That* is why Batman made it follow him 😒.

From saving supermans mom to the wearhouse fight scene was the best moment in this movie. Pure arkham asylum/city/knight style. Best batman actor and choreography by far. Also john winchester and bella being thomas and martha wayne was good casting. Affleck and cavill both excellent casts aswell. If only the rest of the dceu series was so good.
The scene when Wonder Woman enters and Superman coming back to earth is definitely one of my favorite scenes ever in a super hero movie. The sound track.. The destruction.. The casting.. Everything! Perfect.

1. She threw the spear into the water to get it away from Superman. Knowing it's the one thing that can kill him
2. She saw a giant monster come into the battle so she figured that the spear will be needed

I think it's pretty obvious, by this point in the DCEU the people in this world have seen only one type of superpowered being, the type that come from Krypton. So she would obviously think that if there is a new superpowered being that it is most likely Kryptonian. Secondly, an even simpler explanation would be that if the most powerful being on the planet is Superman and he was about to die at the hands of a mere man thanks to a specific weapon, then maybe that weapon will also be powerful enough to kill this new superpowered being who Superman is fighting toe to toe with.

Oh and guys, the reason why superman "died from the nuke was because he is only surposed to absorb light radiation. The nuke had harmful radiation and too much of that shit can fuck him up bad. Also, the reason he recharged so quickly was because he was out of the earth's atmosphere and without the ozone, the sun rays were much more powerful.

Solar energy and visible light are also forms of radiation. From what I understand, that is also why Kryptonite is so dangerous to Superman. The type of radiation given off by Kryptonite is harmful to both humans and Kryptonians, but Superman is built to absorb a lot more of the radiation he is around and use it to fuel his superpowers. So Kryptonite can make Superman feel ill immediately, prevent his powers from working, and kill him if he is not allowed to move away from the Kryptonite and absorb yellow sun energy to recover.
In "The Dark Knight Returns" there is also that same scene, where Superman is caught within a nuclear blast in space. I think it has a similar effect on him because the nuclear radioactive fallout could have also harm Superman in the same way as Kryptonite.
As for Doomsday in the comics, he was a creature genetically-engineered by the Kryptonian scientist, Bertron, to be the ultimate intergalactic bioweapon. Bertron's goal was to create a monster that could heal itself from almost any injury and adapt to any planetary environment/combatant. Doomsday was also homicidal because Bertron pitted Doomsday against many harsh environments, beasts, and weapon systems, which forced Doomsday to suffer countless agonizing deaths since infancy, only to be regenerated back to life. These experiments to test how powerful/adaptable Doomsday really is left Doomsday with a hatred and fear of all life around him, like Victor Frankenstein's creature.
Doomsday's strengths and weaknesses constantly change depending on what opponent he has faced before. Sometimes Doomsday can absorb yellow sun energy like Superman, giving him that same weakness to Kryptonite. Other times, he can change his body so it can absorb a different type of energy. I was looking at a summary of different comic storylines involving Doomsday, and I think one of them had Doomsday evolving to absorb the energy fired by a certain supervillain, so Doomsday can become impervious to that opponent's attacks and can even fire it back at him. I guess this is similar to how the movie Doomsday was critically injured by the bomb blast, but found a way to draw power from the nuclear fallout to become even stronger than before.

Doomsday was not going to just sit there with his feet propped up while Batman got the spear. He would have headed to the city on his own and started causing havoc. Batman lead him to an abandon area for the most part, which was far better than letting him roam free. Had the final battle taken place anywhere else many innocents would have died.
